Default Virginia Beach Vacation

I will be renting a car.......
Do folks still stop on the ramp of a highway before entering?
Let me know what to look out for...

And, of course, some restaurants....

They are acceleration ramps, so get your speed up before you get to the highway. Seafood is real good around here. There are several places inland and at the coast. I happen to own a fun spot with good food in the Kempsville area of Va Beach (footerssportspub.com). You can e-mail me if you want detailed info on the area. I was up at Olmstead Falls last summer, nice area of Ohio.

I usually do a car show in April, but this spring and summer I am in the Nashville area. We have had a couple spur of the moment get togethers there, we have alot of patrons who have Vettes. Come on by!!

Yes, I knew they were called acceleration ramps, but, for some reason, I couldn't remember that......:o
When I live there for a minute back in the early 80's folks use to stop at the top of the ramp to get there break in the flow of traffic.....

I am maybe 10 mts. from Olmstead Falls. What was going on that you came this far north?

I was installing a new conveyor system at the Ford Avon Lake Assembly plant. I also have an old neighbor that moved to Olmstead Falls. You will still get people stopping to merge onto the expressway every so often so be a little careful. Are you renting a Vette from Avis?

Nope, not renting a Vette.....there will be 3 of us.....
Hummmm, are you willing to let me borrow your Vette, maybe?....
I have a friend that lives a couple of minutes from your pub. When I get in on Thursday afternoon, I am hoping him, and his family could meet me at your place......Are you working that day?

I know the place you were working at. Did you go into Vermillion?

No, I was working alot of hours 7 days a week. I did get one Sunday off and went downtown to Rock & Roll HoF.They were having an open wheel race at the airport on the lake. My Pace Car and I are in Nashville at a Nissan plant. I will be home the week of 6-30 through 7-5. When are you visiting? Has your friend been there?

If you stop on an entrance ramp you will be looking for a new car! I'm pretty sure that the whole Hampton Roads area (including VA Beach) has about the worst drivers around. Probably because it is such a mix of people with tourists and the Navy. So... look out for EVERYTHING!

As far as restaurants go, there are quite a few down at the beach. Pretty much all of the Major beachfront hotels have a good restaurant in the bottom. Catch 31 is a good one to try down on the beach. Enjoy your trip!

Catch31 is in the Hilton hotel on the beach at 31st street. If you are looking cheap this is not the place. Good food but they are pretty proud if it. I stay at the Hilton sometimes for work.

When are you going down? We are taking our family vacation there in August. I'm driving the 65 down.
