Nags Head?
I haven't been in the Hampton Roads area that long and am trying to plan a day trip somewhere with some good scenery and all that stuff. I have heard that Nags Head might be what I'm looking for as it's only about 5 hours there and back which leaves me some time to do stuff with the wife while I'm there. From what I can tell on the map it looks like it could be a nice drive but was hoping someone who had actually been there could give me some insight. Also what is the Virginia Dare trail and is there anything special I would want to see while out that way?

Yes it is a nice drive I live just this side of the state line. There is a lot of different things you can do but this time of the year its cold, now if you just want to go for a drive and something to eat go for it. Plenty of places to eat and a lot of sand dunes and water to look at.
