Default NOVA dyno?

I was driving out vint hill road (rt. 215) today and I seen a sign for a chassis dyno that said he specialized in corvettes, trans ams, and camaros. The location was a house and it had a 2 car garage behind it.
Im really not looking for a place for myself, just wondering if anyone knew anything about this place.
BTW its at the corner of rt. 215 and 600.

Rich
Thanks for the info.

Sounds like a good ol boy who is trying to put something local together. I may have to check the guy out. I'm gonna need to make a few more pulls later next month...

The place over in Lorton is ... let's say not so good and Ed is a long way to drive for just making check out runs.

If it's a legitimate business, it may be worth checking out; however, if it's a 'good ol boy', for my part I think I'd pass. If the guy isn't insured (at all or enough coverage), isn't an expert, or plain doesn't know what he's doing, he could fk up my car, and well, I'm not cool with that.

That's just my feeling....YMMV.

Will, the next time im out that way, I will get the ph. no. off of the sign for you. If you are just looking for a dyno and not services, There used to be a place in manassas called excessive motorsports. It was a mustang and lightning shop. I used them for pulls and afr readings 4 or so years back.
Also, there is another shop over by liberia and mathis called something like GT Classic cars? They have a dyno as well.
If you end up coming up this way let me know and maybe we could meet for lunch sometime.

Lori,

When I finally get my car back together, I plan on having Ed tune it for me. I hope he can do a mail order tune on the motor so I can drive it for break in. Then I plan to trailer it to his shop for a dyno tune under boost!! It has a gen. 7 dfi system and has never been tuned other then just downloading the closest tune that accel had which was for a 377 bi turbo setup.
The car has set for 3 years and I know, once I get the motor back in , there are going to be other bugs to work out before its road worthy.
If Ed cant do a mail order tune for break in, then I may consider someone local to just get it driveable for 300-500 miles. Otherwise, it will be at least 2 trailer trips to va. beach.
Take care and I hope you are doing well!

I've done a few Gen7s. I can probably get it good enough to drive through the internet.

Wouldn't mind coming up and tuning it if the time is right, and we can get a few more together.

Excessive Motorsports still exists and yes, they are a blue oval shop, but they'll do pulls on anything. EB3 Motorsports also is in the area and also has dyno facilities. The place over on Liberia I believe is called GT Classic Motorsports and they too have a dyno. I believe Bluewasp organized a CFSE dyno day there a while back (last year or so).

I'm not opposed to coming up for an organized dyno day or something.

Rob set up the last one.

Thanks. I'd apprecieate it when you have a chance.

I have a new TB comming (AS&M Mono Blade) and I want to make some comparison runs just to check my AFR at WOT. Kinda see if I'm going in the right direction with some changes in my motor.

I made some great strides and picked up 400RPM last month just fooling with the valve adjustment and oil...

TB Should be here next week, hopefully I'm on the right track.

Ed if you do come up, hopefully I have my new intake manifold and the heated 02's wired.
Will
