Greg, we had about a dozen cars that caravanned from Birmingham to Dothan for this event last year. Haven't heard much discussion about the specifics for this year's event since all of the MACC folks are focused on this weekend's Champagne Show of the South at the Zamora Temple. Come on out for it, BTW!

I sent out an e-mail to the B'ham folks about a week ago, suggesting that we rendezvous about 10 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. on April 26 at the BP station on Hwy. 119 just off of I-65 to form a caravan. I also suggested that we stop for lunch at Peach Park in Clanton.

Hope you'll join us.

Hope you'll be able to tolerate the weather, Rick. ;) They don't get much snow in Panama City.

I'll watch for you in Panama City on April 27. My first Corvette, a '73 L-82 coupe was the same color as yours. :yesnod:

As a panhandle Vetter myself…WELCOME TO THE WORLDS MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACHES! Add to that the world’s most beautiful sports car and you have true heaven on Earth! :blueangel:

I am a veteran of the Circle City caravan from Dothan to PCB. I have made it to every one since 1997-98? In fact, I’m wearing one of the old 1999 T-Shirts right now cuz I’m working on the Vette! I “may” miss this years though. :(
Maybe I can at least catch up to you guys at Pineapple *******! LOVE THE RIBS! HATE THE CLEANUP! Ribs and white interior don’t mix. :D

Have a great time guys! :seeya

We are as excited about this year's Caravan as you all are, especially now that we have ANDY PILGRIM coming!!! Can you believe it! I figure everyone will be so busy trying to talk to either him, or to Jim Minneker (chief, GM Powertrain Div), or to Wil Cooksey (Corvette Plant Mgr) that you won't even notice if we screw something up. Anyway, everything is looking good for this year's Beach Caravan, it should be a good one.
See you guys in a couple of weeks.

Well, made to Navarre in one piece :yesnod: ....so barring any unforeseen probs and with a week or two to go, I should be able to get Tang-ee cleaned-up and join the rest of the party in Panama City on Sunday. The wife and I plan on hitting hwy 98 at 6:30 or so. :yesnod: With a breakfest stop should arrive by 9:00 a.m.

Jim, keep us posted on the time and place. We are going to try and leave Ky after the wife gets off work on Thurs. Hope to get south of Huntsville before stopping. That should let us make it to B'ham Fri. in time to meet ya. Course like all good plans, s&*t happens and we may be running late. Hope to have a firmer idea by Mon or Tues.

See ya
