Hey fellow RatPackers,

I know times are busy for a lot of people...trust me, with a full time job and 4 music groups, I know all about busy, but I would like to get this group a little more active. Since this group is comprised of Corvette enthusiasts, I would like to see a majority of the events being car related, but that is not saying that everything we do has to be.

I have some ideas simmering on the back burner of things we can do, but I am interested in hearing what everyone else has ideas for.

Just as a heads up, one of my thoughts is that I would love to try to coordinate a NCM caravan. Yes, I know that the forum has it's Cruise In every year, but I would love to organize a separate even for us.

Joe, I'd be all for a NCM caravan!

I've been wanting to have a cook out at my house again. Maybe we could have a rat pack get together.....and MAYBE just maybe have a spread like you did at your party Joe

Randy, the karting events would be cool, but I think I'd have to stay over night there and try to get some karting in the next day also.

4hrs is a long drive for 1hr of karting! Not saying that I wouldn't do it again....just if I had my way, I'd be karting two days in a row along with watching more of the VIR cars.

There's karts available in suffolk and richmond that we used to do as well. It's indoors, but good fun.

Thats what I was talking about doing was the indoor. 4 hours is a long time to drive for an hour but would do it again in a heartbeat. But would probably be more practical to do some indoor!!! Always open for whatever is fun!!!!

More get-togethers for chow and just hanging out. I floated out Quaker Steak and Lube a couple of weeks ago. Haven't made it up there yet but still planning on it.

Brian, I got your PM, I will try to give you a call this weekend. A NCM trip would not be till next year anyways, I am out of leave time at work so I can't really go anywhere for several months.

I have talked to Doug, and he is supposed to be looking into getting the Langley Pace Lap thing again if we are interested.

John, is that your picture in your avatar...shocking, don't look like a dork anymore....LOL

Soon we will have indoor karting in Fredericksburg as well. The same folks who operate G Force in Richmond and AIK in Portsmouth are taking over what used to be the Fredericksburg Ice Park and converting it to an indoor karting facility. I believe the targeted opening date is October.

I can feel a series of races coming up. Perhaps a track rental at each location crowning a series champion?

I'm up for anything that involves vettes and food, but my social director has me scheduled pretty tight right now.

New thread about langley...

I have just been so busy that I haven't had time to breathe... and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon unless I get a raise and can cut back on the side jobs.
