All right here's the skinny on golf! I have 4 tee times set up at the Marriot Nicklaus course. Starting at 07:42 Saturday. Greens fee will be $69.
I have 8 players(?) from Atl. 4 from Xtreme and our foursome that is LOADED!! My advise is bring beer, money and a crying towel.
Let me know if the numbers change as these were the earliest tee times I could get.
See you all soon and have a safe trip.

Kelly

Dang... I think we'll be up before the chickens! I like Nicklaus courses. Shot 73 the first time I played Bears Best here in Atlanta.

LOADED huh?? We'll all be loaded from the night before at 742am.

I got a nancy skirt for ya... you might need to play from the ladies tees to keep up with the big boys!

BTW... what kind of format do ya'll want to play?

4man best ball??? No handicap, no mulligans?

Edit: My wife and I were just talking. She got an idea about mulligans. 3 mulligans for 10 bucks, max 3 mulligans per person to keep it fair. So, we could raise 40 bucks towards St. Judes per group, total 160 if all 4 groups pitched in?? What do ya'll think??

Must use each players drive and putt at least once???

Start out with 1st group and get closest to pin and long drive, last group picks the signs up?? Not sure if this will be a cluster or not, but could be fun and a bit of bragging rights till next year.

Check with the Peachstate Posse.

Some (most) of the folks are Classic Glass members.

I started a thread here but it may split off for a caravan from ATL.

I will be bringing this to the attention of our club on Tuesday so we may also have a caravan down to Dothan.

There is the get together on Thursday night at the host hotel in Dothan. The hotel is supposed to be a different hotel this year after many years at the previous location. The new hotel WILL be much nicer from what I understand.

The caravan leaves Friday morning for Panama City Beach. It is really a sight to see 100+ Corvettes headed south. It is an easy drive and the caravan itself is "relaxed" - that is there is not a lot of frantic stopping and starting.

Last year the caravan ended at Pier Park.

This is time for lunch and to stretch your legs until the rooms over at the Bay Point Marriott are ready.

The past couple of years there has been an organized dinner cruise on the Lady Anderson on Friday night.
http://www.captanderson.com/
The wife and I have not been but I have heard great reports about it. We usually find a nice restaurant in the area and have frequented Captain Anderson.

Friday night there may be a gathering around the pool for conversation and adult beverages. There has been some music provided by a DJ who sings karaoke at times. He has a really good voice so don't be scared.

Saturday there are usually seminars to attend, a car show and possibly a golf game. We usually head over to San Destin to go shopping at the outlet mall and eat a "Whataburger" whenever I can talk her into it. http://www.whataburger.com/

Saturday night is the silent auction and dinner at the hotel. There are some awesome and unique items that are auctioned off. The money goes to the National Corvette Museum.

There may be different things planned this year that I am not aware of. You can do as much or as little as you want to do.

The wife and I always have a great time and treat this as a mini vacation.

Here are a few pictures from last years event.

Going to miss you guys this year. I have never been on the caravan but I always look forward to seeing all of the vettes at Dothan National. That is my black vert in the upper left corner of the first pick. I hope you all have a good trip and maybe you guys will get back on the 1st weekend after Mother's Day schedule again.

It has just now worked out where I can go. I have called the Marriott Reservation Center for the past 2 days without an answer. I spoke to the lady that answers the phone she said there were rooms still available. However, she couldn't make me a reservation. I'm going to meet yall in Dothan. We will be coming Friday Morning early. Hope I can find a room when I get to PC.
