I recently had an awful experience at my local dealership.
Does anyone know of a truly trustworthy "Vette Tech" in the Raleigh NC area that I could trust to service my 2001 Convertible
Could usesome help and advise
Thanks Bob.

Are you looking for someone to tune it up(plugs, wires, etc) or some major work?

I always hate to hear of bad dealings with dealerships..... they kind of have you by the short hairs To bad you aren't closer to the Charlotte region.

I took my 2001 vert to a local dealership for an oil change, power seat switch change, and a radio exchange (mine had internal issues). oil change seemed fine, seat switch went well, but the tech who changed the radio wasn't qualified to tie my shoes. Add to that, he apparently had no respect for anyones personal property. After completing the install, he moved my car to the outside waiting area, where he proceeded to drive my car up on the curb, swing the door open with such force that I'm shocked he didn't spring the hinges. This episode was witnessed by myself AND the service manager. Upon closer inspection.....bolts (that hold the radio bezel and console) were left loose, a spring clip that holds the traction control switch plate down was missing and the entire plate was loose.
After raising holy hell, the service manager took the car back inside to go over the entire install to make sure everything was done properly and to "MAKE EVERYTHING RIGHT". In the process of making everything right, they broke my radio bezel...... I wound up literally throwing every body out of my car and putting it back together myself. The Dealership has ordered me a new radio bezel and traction control plate in their effort to make good. (I'll install those myself). Did I mention the grease on my carpet.
In all fairness.....I must mention that the dealership in question WAS NOT Bobby Murray Chevrolet !

I am very sorry to hear about your poor experience. If you do not mind, would you PM me and giving me your information and the dealership so that I can write up a dealer complaint, I would love to do that for you. I do not have a good suggestion for a dealership in NC for you, but I am sure the gentlemen on the forum will.

Please let me know if I can set up that complaint for you via PM. Thanks.
