We are heading to the Smokys for a family vacation. It just happened to be this week-end. I will have the girls drop me off and they can go to the outlet malls for awhile....... Taking the family car so the vette gets this one off. I have never been there for the fall expo....
If you want to catch a ride for the cruise, let me know, I might be able to help you.
Tell the DJ to contact either Steve or my brother Steve..LOL
The weather forecast is great for the entire week end.
Lows around 60, highs around 70 lots of sun and very litltle chance of rain.
If you are there, look me up, I'll be leading the cruise Friday night and driving auction cars on Saturday. I'll also be helping out John Llewellyn from time to time, with his C-5 parts. He'll be in the big red trailer near the rear entrance.
We are looking forward to the Expo and will be there as a vendor. We are going to have a lot of sale prices on our insulation kits, VetteBins and Fiberglass sub boxes.
The field lines up inside the event grounds near closing time for the Friday event. We then proceed on public roads for the cruise. There is no charge for the cruise, however there is an entry fee into the event. The route is posted on the web site, if you wish to not pay the entry fee to the show , no one will stop you from joining in, as the cruise progresses. It's between you and your own conscience if you do so.
Just the info I needed! My car used to be a "show" car but I prefer it to be a Go car now! But for sure I will be paying the entry fee to "see" the expo and enjoy the cruise! Hope to meet you there! Thanks again!

Early on the bigger venders that sell Corvette related items tyoically attended these shows.
Ecklers, Corvette central, some dealers, and apparel venders would load up a rig and travel hundreds of miles to attend. Now it's easier to do it all online. Most of the venders attending these shows consist of local shops and several recycling businesses.

I just got home from Sieverville and it looks like there will be a good time. the venders are already setting up and most of the auction cars are there. NCRS will also have some cars there for judging. It's a bit rainy today, but the weather is supposed to clear by mid morning.
We hope to have at least 100 cars for the cruise tomorrow night.
Went and dropped our cars off today, wasn't much there this morning but Im sure some more stuff will be rolling in. Really like the relocation of the park and show to the back half of what was the for sale car lot, just a shame there arent enough for sale cars to fill that lot up though like there used to be in Knoxville.
Im not sure what happened today..........nice weather at the Expo????????
First off I have to give a big thanks to the expo for FINALLY offering a vendor parking so we don't have to pay the ripoff centers parking price!!
Pretty decent expo so far, looks like there are plenty of auction cars, probably 30 or so for sale cars. The vette parking was pretty full during the day, not as many as in the spring though. The average joe swap meet vendors are down even more but there are still some to browse through. Took a ton of pictures today but I'm too tired to upload them. I'll try and put them up tomorrow night.
The venders were down a bit.
One of them told us (My buddy Joohn and I sell some C-5 stuff) they weren't coming this fall because Carlile was a bust for them and their travel budget was blown,???
The cruise went well.
We had about 60 cars and around 90 people ate at the restaurant.
It was pretty neat, as the cruise was headed towards the mountains as the sun was setting over the lake, A heck of great view. I heard no complaints which is a bit unusual.
Me and my "other brother" Steve hope everyone enjoyed it and got home safely.
Just got home, no luck selling our 1960 but we had a ton of lookers, lots of foot traffic out and about, saw a good bit of stuff selling in the auction, most all of it was under 10,000 dollar cars. There were some real good deals to be had on a couple of C4's. Nice day again today, I can't remember the last expo that there was two nice days back to back but I'm pretty sure it was in Knoxville its been so long ago! Uploading my pictures now, took almost 250.
