We are involved with two Corvette clubs in our area up north. Weather permitting, each club organizes one or two of their own events per month- road trips of 1-3 days, poker or fun rallys, day cruises to a different restaurant, etc. And they typically also participate in 1-3 events per month organized by other clubs, the usual drives or autocross.
Plus the typical cruise ins and car shows.

There are about 10 couples from the clubs that spend anywhere from a couple of weeks, to the entire winter; in the Ft Myers-Naples area. I keep kidding them because nobody drives their Corvette down there, half of them fly and the other half drive the tin cars.

Recently I started looking up the three Corvette clubs I could find in that area, to see what they are doing during February and March. And the answer seems to be;
cruise ins and car shows, car shows and cruise ins. And that's about it.
Geez, I can only eat so many burgers and look at so many cars, before I want to go out and actually use our car for something.

I must be missing something, are there some non-NCCC clubs or informal groups that actually go somewhere with their cars? Or maybe I'm not reading the calendars correctly.

I don't want this to sound like I'm slamming the clubs down there, they should do what they want because they want to do it. But if we take a trip there, we don't want to miss some good stuff because we didn't know about it.

That's about it around here. Car shows, cruise ins to eat or participate in parades where you get pelted by hard candy...Once in a blue moon someone comes up with a poke run or long cruise...Welcome to Coma land...
