We can all roll in together if we meet up. There is a twistee treat in the publix shopping center on Hwy 50 & Chuluota road which is about 2 miles west of the track. 9 am would work for me.

Count me in if I have my car then. I just bought a 2010 Grand Sport in MA and it is being shipped down here next week. I need to register it and get a clear bra put and all that should be done by Sept 9. I haven't been to drag strip in a few years, last time was New England Dragway in NH. ( I moved down here from MA two years ago ) Hopefully you don't mind a old guy ( I am 50 ) hanging with you guys, I look forward to meeting everyone.

I have my car back and am interested. Is this a "Run what ya Brung" event? Do you have to have a helmet, cost...any details? I would even be interested in just meeting up and doing the drive out.

The track opens at 10:00, isn't 9 AM a little early?

Its run what ya brung! You will see all kinds of cars there from full on race cars to stock econo cars barely able to break into the 16s. Its $10 to enter and $5 more to race. If you run under 13 secs you are supposed to have a helmet but last time I was there they weren't really enforcing it too much. But they do require that you wear long pants and shoes, they won't let you race in shorts or sandals. I know someone who wasn't allowed to run last time because of that.

I may go--depends on the weather. Last time I was there the
track temp was 110 degrees-- times were off because of the heat.

So what is the game plan, are we meeting at the track or a place before it and at what time? Hopefully the rain holds off and we can get a few runs in.

If its raining than I'm out. If not I would like to get in early as it will be tough to group together. If we line up together we might be able to pit as a group. The place fills up fast. We could meet by the tastee freeze in the publx enter a few miles west of fhe track on hwy 50 at about early 9ish and roll in together. Or fake our chances and group where ever you see vettes pitting. I would like to be on line at the gate 1/2 hr before it opens. We could also meet up at the gate area and just pull to yhe side until vettes start showing up. I'm for the tasty freeze spot.

Sounds like a good meeting spot, I will arrive around 9:00 and have a helmet ready in case it is needed. ( and long pants )
I also will not show if it is raining so keep your fingers crossed.

The rain shouldnt hit until about 1ish. I should be kicked out by then and watching from the sidelines. Not sure I will make 9. Maybe 9:45 best case.

Anybody running with some heavy mods or at least a Zo6 with bolt ons? Maybe I can run ya

I put the Hoosiers DR's on the car so I hope the ground is dry for the ride both ways. I'll be the pewter C5 coupe. I'll bring an extra helmet if anyone needs one. Pray for late rain as the forecast sounds dire.
