Sorry I had to miss it, how did it go? Must have been really hot... I think I might be up for a Friday night TnT when its not so hot.
Good runs!

This was my first time with this car at the track, my first run was a 12.90@113MPH with a 2.22 sixty foot and the second run I missed third gear so I didn't bother staying on it after that. Car is stock except a Haltech bumblebee intake with stock tires.
Was a fun day and met some nice people but two runs in over two hours kinda sucks. It was very hot and humid so I hope to get better times when the weather cools down and I learn to launch the car better.

Only 2 runs? Must have been a lot of down time. When I went there back in July they were running back to back I got 5 runs in about 2 hours before the heat got to us.
You need to get the runs in for practice, its the only way! I was never good at launching in my 2002 Z06 or prior F-bodies, auto is working better for me now.

We'll plan on some TnT or an upcoming Runday when it cools off for sure. Headers are going on as I'm typing this so I definitely need to go back to OSW.

Wow I hadn't heard that Speedworld was closing. Too bad, I've been a couple times and it seemed like a nice track. I'm stuck mostly to 1/8th mile tracks around here so it's even more sad to hear when a 1/4 track shuts down.

Carl Weisinger has made it very clear he is retiring at the end of this season...Speedworld is and has been for sale and I am certain someone will step up...the place has huge potential...my perfect scenario is someone who knows how to run a track and promote events will take it over....oh yeah, the new operator will switch over to the IHRA as well...woot!..,

I honestly believe the track will be running next year.....

Hey Dan I hope you know something we don't. I agree with all you said. The land is leased as I understand. Someone would just have to renew the lease & buy the existing sell-able equipment in order to make a go of it so I thinks??

My F55 front shocks were leaking, so they put in new ones. On the drive home one of the new ones goes bad and throws the error "Service Ride Control Maximum Speed 158 MPH"

I wonder why 159 mph is so dangerous but 158 is ok?
