I don't know H/H that well you can meet at the Pantry on I 278 at 1200 PM. We will pull out around 12:30 pm. Sorry but I dont know that much about H/H.
marty, what way are you coming down? you said you were gonna hit 17, are you gonna ride 17 to 95 to 278? or are you gonna get on 21 and 170 to 278? just wondering what time we could all meet up and where.
The date is July 27 Sat
Just like last time we will meet at the Pantry on I 278 at 1200 PM. We will pull out around 12:30 pm. From the Pantry we will go to the Wild Wing for food and
For those of you coming up or down I-95, get off at Exit 8 at Hardeeville. This is U.S. 278 and runs all the way to Hilton Head. You will pass Sun City Hilton Head, A few miles further and you will pass through a flashing yellow light at Rose Hill Plantation. Continue on and you will pass the Island Ford Dealership on your right, then the Hilton Head Factory Stores #I, then Hilton Head Factory Stores #II.
The next light PAST HH Factory Stores #II is the Moss Creek/Old South intersection. There should be a fountain to your left at the Moss Creek entrance. Continue straight through this light.
About 1/4 mile past the light are the Hilton Head bridges. Just before the bridges on the right, you will see a Pantry and welcome center. That's the spot.
Marty and all, I'm planning to take some time off this weekend so I can attend. I look forward to seeing you all again!
Neil,
How did the car show in Beaufort go this weekend? Sorry I missed it, but the trade off was worth it. Laurie got a new bike in Daytona. Its awesome, I'll be posting a thread with pics in OT as soon as we can get them scanned! :smash:
the show kinda sucked, to tell the truth. as far as the late model class was concerned, it was 4 f-bodies from our club, my pace car, another SS,a 3rd gen Z, a 35th SS, a chromalusion C4, a viper, and a yellow rouch mustang convertible. i was expecting marty's club to be there, but none of them were there. it was participant and spectator judging, so we knew the viper and the rouch were going to place (when it comes to the late models at a classic car show, people vote for 'less common' vehicles, even if they are bone stock. i've seen new T'birds with dealer tags win!). and the SS placed. it is a sweet 97 SS with a 383 and a lot of chrome and pretty stuff. he also got a trophy last year. there were NO C5's, either. i was really surprised at how few cars were there. i am not sure of the number, but it lookes like it was less than last year. i think it may be because of how HOT it was. i got ubn the monte at 4pm to take it home, and the thermometer said 104*! i cannot imagine how hot it was at noon. thank goodness we took an easy up for the club to sit under. we ended up having a lot of members come to the show just to hang out and look at the cars. we had 5 cars entered in the show (4 4th gens and a 1st gen firebird), but we had at least 9 other cars from our club parked right behind our easy up not entered in the show (2 of them were C5's). that is enough rambling about the show.
i am glad laurie got the bike she wanted. did she buy a bunch of dress up stuff for it yet? how does it ride? i heard the road kings ride really sweet!
well, i should see you all this weekend at wild wings!
Sorry the show wasn't much of a success. Next weekend will be all the "show" we need! :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:
Laurie's bike is awesome. The guy put about $7,000 of extras into it when he had it. I'll be posting a thread with some pics as soon as we get them back and get them scanned!
cool, if you ever get the bike up here (or bring it out saturday) i could take some digital photos for you. it is a lot easier than scanning them. see ya saturday!

Really sorry to hear that. I was hoping to see that beast up close! Maybe even get a ride!!! Maybe next time!!
Marty, how many do you think we'll have this time??? I haven't heard from any of the Savannah people, wonder if any are coming???
Dave its hard to tell. I had no idea the last time. Im not sure about my club but I will know in 1 hour.
See you soon :chevy :chevy
OK, well Wings is expecting us. Probably be sitting outside again, since that's the only place there's room for us. It'll be a little warmer than it was in Feb, but they have fans set up and there should be shade. Guess everyone's on the road now. See you in about 1 1/2 hours!!
I guess Laurie and I are probably the first ones home since we live the closest. The run was a success. Had a great turnout not only of 'Vettes, but the F-body crew from Beaufort showed up with some great looking Camaros and 'Birds!
We even ran into CF member "Tuband" at Wings, though he was driving an S-10, not his 'Vette.
We had a great time and I'm looking forward to seeing some of the pics taken by "WickedVette"
Thanks to Marty and his club for organizing another fun run.
My son and I had a great time meeting everyone today. :seeya Here are two teaser pics from the Hilton Head Cruise (Part 2) .......go to the link below the pics to see them all.......
