Default Fall Expo

The venue for Corvette Expo has changed this fall.
It will return to Sevierville in the spring.

The fall event will be held in Loudon Tennessee and there will not be an auction, but there will be an open autocross and a the fFriday night cruise will be something different!

From the flyer:

Charge up those GoPros and fill the Corvette tanks with fuel, we are making an as- sault on the Dragon in an attempt to set a World Record for the most Corvettes on the Dragon at one time. The Corvette Cruise to the Tail of the Dragon will leave the Loudon Municipal Park on Friday October 16th at 5 pm with Police escort. The trip is approxi- mately 50 miles of beautiful East Tennessee back roads that is sure to please any Cor- vette Enthusiasts. The photographer at the Dragon will shoot a picture of each Corvette while on the Dragon for purchase online. We will also go to Fontana Dam for a photo opp after completing the Dragon. It has been Corvette Expo’s goal to take the Corvette Cruise to the Dragon for several years, but the logistics from the Sevierville location were not suitable for such a Cruise.
The location of the Loudon Municipal Park, on Highway 72 makes for a perfect cruise to the Dragon with incredible views along the way with Fall colors in the Mountains and along the Chilhowee Lake. Don’t miss this opportunity to cruise the Dragon with your Corvette friends, as we will be back in Sevierville on March 18 and 19, 2016 where we will again be cruising the foot hills of the Smokies.
Cooper Events has applied for a GUINNESS World Record for “The most Cor- vettes on the Dragon in one day”. Help us set this record on Friday, October 16th.
Our 2 day Autocross will be hosted by the East Tennessee Corvette Club, and will be open to Corvettes as well as other cars. If you plan to participate in both Events, the Autocross will conclude on Friday in plenty of time to line up for the Cruise to the Dragon.
“Fuel is cheap - lets Burn some” ▪ See you in Loudon October 16-17.

This should be a fun cruise and an opportunity for those of you that have always wanted to do the "Dragon" to do so with a large number of fellow Vette owners.

Cool. Actually, I already have plans to be up there with my Z06 that Friday morning but with a different group. Guess my 1 car can add to the count.

Actual time for the TOD run is not set in stone yet.
It should start late Friday afternoon.
I'd be there before 3:00PM just to be sure.

Decided to lay out of work on Friday and do the Loudon show and the Dragon cruise, weather permitting! The Dragon is a nasty place to be in the rain, on a motorcycle anyway. Then go spend the night somewhere around Knoxville or may even go on up to Pigeon Forge. Then do the Sevierville show Saturday.

Phanni I love the idea of setting the record on the dragon, we have booked our hotel and will be there for sure. We are members of the Nashville Corvette Club and will be mentioning this to friends for sure. just love seeing convoys of Vettes running down the road..

Here is a question that many are going to think I am an idiot...I refuse to drive a dirty Corvette (imagine that) coming from Nashville our GS will not be looking great...obviously a car wash is out of the question...what do people do in situations like that? looking for any great ideas as I am sure everyone is going to be looking good when the run begins

Have you set a time to leave yet? If we leaving at 5 wouldn't be getting close to dark time we make the store?

Keep us posted as to the time of the run and what time we should show up in Loudon. We will be traveling from Houston for this show and run.

Haha. I have no clue. I wasn't planning on attending the event. Already have plans to spend the weekend with some other car friends at a motel near Bryson City. We are planning on driving the Dragon that day but mainly before noon.
