I am fairly new to the DC area. I went to Katie's this past weekend and it was a good time but there weren't too many vettes present. How has the turnout at some of the other NOVA gatherings been this summer. I would def be interested in coming out.

The Old Diminion Corvette Club hosts an annual cruise-in on 13 Aug 2-6pm in Mannassas, VA. Normally about 200 Corvettes are present. Register at:

The Sat morning wearher forecast was screwed up, so many people thought it was going to rain by mid-morning. I'm sure that kept a number of people away, including me. Turned out to be a nice day.

Welcome to the area. Where do you live? Are you actually in Wash DC or just the "Wash DC metro area" that includes NoVA, MD, and Wash DC? There are plenty of corvette clubs and other auto enthusiast activities (like Katie's) throughout Northern VA and Maryland. Bluewasp captured some of the recurring activity above, although the Sun morning Leesburg C&C needs to be updated per my earlier post.

I'll be there. Leaving early Friday morning with the Old Dominion Corvette Club:
The ODCC rally point is the Chick-Fil-A restaurant parking lot in Leesburg at both 6:00 AM Friday and Saturday (2nd caravan), with a prompt departure and cruise to Carlisle at 6:20 AM.
