I've been looking for a C2 convertible for six months now, which I guess isn't that long, and have been receiving some great advice from a forum member whom I'm so glad to have met.
Now I think I may have found the car.
It's in North Carolina and I'm in Arizona (and not well qualified to inspect a Corvette anyway).
I'd like to find someone knowledgable to do a close inspection of the car (including inside the doors, the birdcage, under the dash, the windshield frame and A-pillars, rear suspension attachment points, etc.) as well as give me an overall opinion on the soundness of the car.
I've done a fair amount of research and promise not to ask too many dumb questions!
Maybe I misspoke; what I'd like is the opinion of someone who knows these cars well and knows what to look for. I'd gladly compensate you for your trouble and travel.
You might try contacting one of the officers in Carolina Classic Corvette Club. Their club is for '53 - '96 Corvettes and they are located in the Charlotte area. http://carolina-classic-corvettes.com/

Thanks.
She did contact me thru email. Wrote her back with some info.
Thanks, all. The contact info was helpful. Forum member Dub really knows his stuff! He was very kind and asked some questions that really had me thinking. We had a good conversation and I'm planning on following up with him further.
I sure appreciate the guidance I'm receiving here.
