Default Tampa/Sarasota shop/tuner for cam/LTs + tune.

Hello! I just picked up a 2008 m6 C6 and I’m loving it, 72k miles with 1 older owner. As a recent college grad I wanted to reward myself with some work done to my Vette.

I had Jeremy over at faster proms give me a quote right before I bought the car for $3500 for just the install not including parts and $650 for a Dyno+street tune. It sounds high but I might be convinced for the level of work he provides. I also called Powertech but it takes a few days to call me back on information. I also called Redline and waiting to receive a quote but they are 5+ hours away and would probably need to ship my car over which would leave me without a daily driver for a few weeks. Redline was incredible on the phone and if I lived closer it would be a no-brained!!

Any other options near me that are worth checking out? I live on the beach at Anna Maria so doing it myself is a no-go.

Thank you!

everyone does street tuning....dyno tuning is great for getting it dialed in and giving you a rwhp number, street tuning adjusts for driveability and real world...you need a bit of both in most case but you could do street only for minor mods....

3500 in labor for a cam and long tubes seems very high to me.

Cam parts and labor should be $2500 max

LT install should be around 500 IMO. Parts are whatever you want to pay. An NA tune should be $500 however Jeremy does have a stellar reputation for tuning.

yeah, last I heard he has gotten to be more unreliable than ever, charges crazy prices and does halfass work riding on his reputation and word of mouth coupled with people who don't know what they are getting, what questions to ask etc.

OP's thread is dated 08/02/18 saying he just picked up a 2008 M6 C6.

OP starts another thread 5 days later saying he is looking for a C6 - https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...803-c6-m6.html

Default Corvette Tuner in Tampa

Thanks Guys. Im pretty confident that the volume of Corvette and Camaro tuning I do in Tampa is unmatched by anyone in Tampa area. Thats all I do is specialize in vehicle calibration. I have someone else do my builds, so it no rush to get you in and out.
I spend about 3 hours on most cars, and if one takes longer, Im experienced enough when scheduling not to book another vehicle behind it.
When it comes to transmission tuning, Im the only one in the area that configures the calibration through Torque Management. Everyone else seems to just add transmission line pressure and cut shift times. Thats what makes a transmission shift hard all the time. Though TQMT, the more throttle you apply, the firmer the shifts become. Its truly a custom tune for your car.
