North Georgia -Spring '19 Mountain Cruise?

I am not sure if you guys have a full route mapped?
I really love Blood Mountain and for a short ride, turning left onto Wolf Penn makes a quick and fun drive.
However, I learned a route from a big and fast group 2 years ago and its really spectacular - so I will share it.
Just made an image of the route.

That's a nice route.
I've added the location of the food.
The place is called Pappy's and they're open on Sundays. The best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever eaten. I bought 2 to go home with last time they're that good.

Nice, I heard about a bbq spot at the end of Richard B Russel, now i know where it is.
Before I go to bed, i will make an estimate of how long the route is and mark the spots where you can stop and park.
It took us awhile when we did it but we started at Chick Fil A down 400 and then stopprd like 8 times for 20 min at a time.
Edit:::: I'll do this in the morning

Last I went, we rolled to the Food, ate up, relaxed a bit, and doubled back the short distance, and rolled the curves.
The drive from the meeting spot on I-985 to the Food using Wolf Pen Gap will be a nice drive itself. Then a spin around the top of the route headed back towards 985 sounds like a balanced time.

Cool video,
Yeah I agree that is probably a good idea for time, I'll do the time comparison tomorrow as I ran out of time tonight.
I do like the idea of doubling back and eating in the middle of the ride.

I didn't click in the exact spots but seems the difference is 1:25 vs 2:06 (I clicked down a side road so I took some time off)
I am good with either way, if we eat, stare at parked cars and stuff it'll be a full day with your original wolf penn double back.

The 2nd option I think is better when you add in the drive time getting there. If the crowd wants to change plans making it longer I’m good with that too.
For the meeting place I was thinking I-985 exit #22 you have both a Quiktrip and a new Racetrac.
The address for QT is 897 West Ridge Road in Gainesville.
Sunday the 12th looks like 90% rain so hopefully the 19th is much better.

Josh,
I live in SE Florida, but have been checking out drives in north Georgia. I may do a road trip. Can you recommend some drives, hotels and things to do? Wife may come along.
Thanks.
