not sure. Dixie bones? A true classic meet up location. I went there a few weeks ago and they do not have the all you can eat ribs on Mondays any longer.
I do want to take my Pontiac to the drag strip (It does have an L98 Corvette-derived engine), so the 1/4 mile tracks open again in early March (maybe late Feb?).
Dixie Bones is good, but maybe somewhere new? Sunday brunch cruises were always fun. 10 AM departure and brunch around 11...
What about the buffet at Dixie Bones on Sundays - is that still on? Also, might want to consider Bad To The Bone in Gainesville or its closer affiliate The Bone in Old Town Manassas.
Also, we can't go to Cheeburger, Cheeburger anymore as they closed two months ago ... which means no one-pound hamburger for Chris.
Personally, I also like Okra in Manassas (Cajun food) but it is a hassle finding a close by parking slot.
On the other hand, instead of BBQ there are a couple of churrascarias in the local area such as Texas de Brazil at the Fair Oaks Mall, Chima at Tysons Mall, and Fogo de Chao all of which are all the beef, pork, and chicken that you can stuff down your throat for one price. Not really BBQ but then Dixie Bones does not serve filet or sirloin steak.
Dixie Bones does still have their Sunday AYCE Buffet. It's got everything but ribs, if you like pulled pork, beef, and chicken, plus all the sides. Around $16, iirc.
From: Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Somehow I'm just seeing this. I'm game for whatever, and like the fact that this group always thinks with its belly! Dare we get back to the regular meet-ups? We could ease in with one of the classic venues like churrascarias, Dixie Bones, or Tim's.
