Rain chances look to be decreasing and mostly in the morning on Friday. Hopefully clear weather for the cruise! I'm excited for my first Expo. Driving down Friday morning so hopefully I can sneak in a wash when I get there. Our poor Kentucky roads are filthy and SW VA isn't any better.
I have wanted to go to this event for the past several years, especially looking forward to participating in the Tail of the Dragon run. However, this time of year the northern section of the I81 corridor is often still experiencing wet weather in the form or rain or snow, as is the case again this year. Plus, in looking at the forecast for the Pigeon Forge area for Friday, rain is also forecast for that area.
I am sure the locals enjoy this event immensely, but if it were held a couple or few weeks later in the year, more Vette owners would attend. It is not a case of not wanting to get my car wet, but rather a preference to be able to walk around and look at other cars and talk to other owners without getting rained on.
That might sound like piXXing and moaning to some, but to each his own.
To everyone who does attend this year's TOTD cruise, I hope you have a great time; and please post some pics if you can.

Thanks a bunch!
Two Vettes ~Keep the Wave~
I don't see it on the schedule yet, but they usually host a fall event as well.
Weather permitting and if able to get away from the computer Friday afternoon may drive up to Foothills Pkwy to grab some drone footage of the Corvette train passing through. If so, will post to this thread. Plan to make it to the show Saturday for sure.
Most updated forecasts show chances of rain diminishing before noon on Friday. Should give plenty of time for the roads to dry before the cruise down the Dragon 😎
Loading up this evening! Heading out very early in the morning. Should be in town before unch. Hopefully the roads will be dry enough for a quick wash.
rain has moved out....at least for now and the winds have dried the roads. Will be back up in the am to check out more cars and enthusiasts arriving !!
Did anybody make it to the expo today? How was it? Planning on going tomorrow. Fingers crossed for no rain!
There was rain and drizzle in the morning, but cloudy in the afternoon. There were over 400 that left out for the dragon cruise.
I expect tomorrow’s weather will bring even more cars out with sunny skies and high temps in the 60’s.
