Road Atlanta Today
RA was pretty wild today. Monsoon rains washed a lot of mud and grit on the track, which stayed wet until about 2 PM, then the sun came out, the tires got warm and it was on :)
Thanks to Ryan for taking me around in his Viper and showing me how it is done, very smooth and fast driver! Then he rode with me and gave me pointers. My car was VERY loose in the rear, kept wanting to oversteer. I could not build any speed on the turns. Turned out I had over 38 lbs. of air in the tires, dropped to 30 and next time out she was sticking very well. Then the infamous sticking clutch pedal reared it's ugly head so my racing was over :( It goes to the dealer in a week, I am sure they will fix the problem.
Also thanks to GMBlack3 for riding with me and providing pointers (and video tape) and thanks to Chris (Woosch) for leading me around :)

Sounds like fun! Sorry to hear about the clutch problem, but at least it wasn't the sort of thing that put you into a wall! I'm looking forward to going out and seeing everyone tomorrow.

Good to hear you made it home ok. I was able to come out for a little while this afternoon, hopefully if the weather cooperates I will make it tommorrow and hopefully catch a ride around the track.

It was great to meet everyone. I think next time I will try the track. The rides around the track were great. Many great drivers out there. Although it is a little hard on the stomach when you are the passenger :U :lol: One more great reason to be a vette owner.

Went to the track today, it was awesome!!! I didn't get a chance to meet too many people from Corvetteforum except Farmer's yellow fast ride, but I did tell a guy who drives a Z06 about Coretteforum. He has a black Z06, and his buddy has an electronic blue one. Awesome day!!
