We are looking at bringing part of the Northeast caravan on backroads through Tennessee and Kentucky. We were thinking of getting off route 40 at route 27 in Harriman, TN. From there north through the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area and then up to the Cumberland Highway. I have some questions.
1. Is there a large parking area at this exit (there is a Cracker Barrel there) where we can gather the cars?
2. Are there restaurants in the area?
3. Is there a fee to enter the National Park?
4. What are the tolls on the Cumberland Parkway?
5. Does this sound like a good scenic route of nice Corvette roads?

Check with Dr. Evil or the SMC sticky thread at the top....We're heading north into KY, then across KY on a toll road. Sorry, I'm not from the area and don't know much more than that....I will be playing "follow the leader"...
