Here are the tenative plans for Jack and his Crew for the dragon Run.....

"Looks like we will try to do this...Leave BG early Sat AM, hopefully before 9 AM and get to Motel 6 west of Knoxville before 1 pm. Then probably have a brief lunch and head down 411 to 129. 129 to 143 in Robbinsville and pick up Cherhola, circle back up to 411 and do 129 again and turn around at the motel, take 129 back. If time permits I would like to do Foothills Pkwy to Alcoa.

Sunday AM I plan to get them out of bed early and be at the wide spot on 129 just past the foothills pkwy around 7 to 7:30 am "


If you plan on attending...let Jack know. Some of us will be in BG until early Sunday morning. For those that are not attending the Cruise IN, You are welcome to join Jack Saturday. Lets join up with and show them some of our SMC hospitality..... :thumbs: :party:

the way jim 482 is talking (check the first post) they will run the dragon sat twice and then again sun. i will imail you my phone no's so at your convience we can make plans.

our group is just a get together group and usually have between 13 and 25 cars show up. just call a run or dinner and here we go. looking forward to seeing you two so you can add extra class to our group :party:

Will be in Bowling Green but would go if not. Though don't know about OUR hospitality....last time we showed out of staters that...it snowed on the Dragon. They didn't much appreciate it and they were from up north.

we went so slow tues that i think GM is going to take the Z away from me. i saw several bikers and cars look at us and pick up their cell phones. i told her they were reporting us to GM's take away dept. :steering: :steering:

Let's meet this wild bunch at Famous Dave's (home of Jon "Smackey" Mackey) for some fine food :thumbs: at around 1PM. From there we'll blast off, tour the Dragon and cross Cherohala and return! :party:
I'm sure we can convince Jon or some other SMC members to post the directions to Famous Dave's!

several ?? people,some from va. are coming to my house then on to knoxville to meet jackdaroofer and do the dragon. any body else from this area feel free to come here for the trip to ktown.,

we are meeting here at 10.00 sat morn. this will give the travelers a chance to take a break and refresh b/4 coming of to meet the others in ktown.
