[RCG] Our Logo
Hey gang, I'm working on a logo for our gang. I found a guy in Gastonia that will help out and print some up. I thought a theme of using the Corvette flags of the C5, the circle of the C4 and the C3 emblem to come up with something. This would be a good time to add suggestions.

What about a uniform "RCG" insignia with the flags from that year of corvette. That way when we start to get C6s or others, the flag is all that would need to be updated.

I am all for a professional logo, but please keep a couple of things in mind. First, there is an existing logo on our website http://www.racecitycorvettes.org that I believe LakotasRose and/or Titania designed. If we want to change it, their input will be very important!
Second, those of us that founded the "Gang" decided that Race City would be our handle because we first met in Mooresville (Race City USA). In my opinion, the logo should emphasize this. The current website logo has a nice crossed flags that includes the checkered flag. I would like to see this included!

Tom the last time that I was in Office Depot I noticed that they now offer embroidering services for shirts & hats. Maybe we should think about getting our logo &/or forum handles on some apparel.

Chris that is what I thought would be nice. I thought the first think to do was make a logo, but we already have one. :hurray:

I hope you didn't read my response wrong! I am all for making a professional looking logo!! You have MY blessing to proceed and see what that guy will come up with. I am sure he will put together some (digital?) proofs for us to review.

Rose is sick.Got some sorta crud and I feel awful.
I am all for a ''professional'' type logo...BUT I would like it to be based on the Logo that Martha & I came up with.
Maybe Me, Martha and Tom can get together after New Years and talk about this and come to a decision.

I just talked with Lanny Henderson @ Signs Now. It turns out he, too, is a vette nut like us. I invited him to our meeting in Jan and he said he'd try to put some logo ideas together. I gave him a copy of our current logo and told him of the desire to keep it close or at least have the same idea. He's looking to buy another Vette, I think he wants to explore the C6 when it comes out. His shop has some very nice equipment. He can do the NASCAR trailers!
