Moving to Richmond
Change of job has caused me to move from Nashville to Richmond. I'm looking forward to meeting folks in the area and participating in some of the events. :D

Re: Moving to Richmond (Strick)
I had a look at your sig -
My previous Vette was also a '92, and green (but a coupe and without all the mods). There's just something about dark green which is appealing, but unfortunately to under 5% of the buyers. Guess the next one will have to be silver.
Thanks. When you headed to Richmond? As far as color goes, I've wanted this color comb for a long time, and after an afternoon with Zaino, it shines. I think you'll find a lot of Vette company there, if not, come on down to Charlotte, we'd love to have you. :seeya

 Congratulations on your move to HEAVEN! There is a very active Richmond Corvette Club, and here on the Forum, you can follow the exploits of the RATPACK. We have several from the Richmond area who join up with us, and we do things in Richmond and Charlottesville from time to time

Jack,
Thanks. I and a few friends have run the "Dragon" several times, but it is getting crowed with slower vehicles and those with light bars on top. Is there any place closer to central Virginia that is equally fun to drive?

 Once you move to Richmond, all "secrets" will be revealed :D
We don't talk about it much in public, but the RATPACK does like to drive with Vim and Vigor :D :blueangel:
I agree with you about the Dragon! I am not going like I usually do at Memorial Day this year.
Dave Y2K and I made a weekend run last October and we are thinking of a weekend run in late March. Found that while the Dragon is the supreme test, there are 200 plus miles of other roads in the area that can get your adrenalin flowing :D

I've found that if you go before the leaves appear in the spring, or after they've fallen in the fall, you have better visibility around the curves and can spot oncoming traffic earlier (including the 2-wheelers, who may keep their wheels on their side of the yellow line, but their helmet is even with your rear view mirror and they often hit their pegs on the sharp curves with throws them into your lane.)
Actually, because I'm also a motorcycle owner (Sportbikes are fun too! :D ) I have put together a BUNCH of great roads in central Virginia, like Rt. 56 from it's eastern most point (It T-bones Rt.60) all the way OVER the Blue Ridge Parkway, all the way down to Rt. 11, then head south on 11 until you come to Lexington, Virginia, then head out Rt 32 Alternate over into Bath county. Some of the best roads I've travelled in the WORLD are there and VERY light traffic/ Cops!
I can't wait until weather allows me to pop the top and cruise those roads!
And I'd stay off Rt. 211 between Sperryville and Luray. The sportbikers have ruined an otherwise wonderfull piece of highway with their multiple deaths over the last few years... I only go up there now on my bicycle to do the Sperryville to Bigmeadows and return ride... Great for the heart and legs, and no better way to enjoy Skyline drive IF you are in to cycling of the pedal variety!

Re: Moving to Richmond (ALLTHROTTLE&NOBOTTLE)
I have done a LITTLE autocrossing and have enjoyed it, even though I'm a rookie. Last year they rented the entire Nashville Superspeedway for a weekend and had a high speed autoX, divided into 4 classes. My speeds on the front and back straights were ~ 100, and then a hard brake and a left hander into the curves.
