We actually didn't talk much about any events, except the upcoming run in the mountains on the 19th of June. We ate and split.

Just another excuse to drive the Vette and socialize with the RCG. This was a nice place for our group.

That's nice Tom but apart from the upcoming drive & the AutoFair this fall you're telling me that there's nothing going on with the RCG?

We need your input, Chris. What do you want to happen within the RCG?

My input? Its kind of hard to offer any input when most of the members aren't interested in doing anything. I'm interested in doing cruises to the beach, the mountains, civil war battlefields, Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, Octobervettes, Myrtle Beach... We just got back from the corvette forum cruise in which was another great time.
Sorry but from what I've experienced in the 2 years that I've hung with this club is that most people are content to meet once a month for lunch or dinner & that's it. I brought up scenic drives last year at a meeting & got no response from the people that attended. Its nice that y'all are finally starting to do some scenic drives but from my point of view its too little to late.

Nice to see you guys. Beautiful day.

Jed and I just got back from a Sunday morning "blast through the countryside" about half an hour ago. Fun stuff.

So where did you guys go? I bet the Pro Charger and the Magna chargers are cooling down after your romp in the countryside.

Yes they are!! Met on 16 near 73 and took off into the Stanley/Mt. Holly area and up toward Denver over toward Moorseville..back down 77 ..got near redline in 4th...around 140 a couple of times and then split off and went our seperate ways. Nice way to start the day. No "Serpent" type roads but still a couple of nice curves.

better pavement on some and no lane dividing reflectors in the center lane Don't sell me short, I was just above 150 the first time

It's fun to run a few twisties that aren't 2 hours away. Chris, sorry to hear you are not satisfied. I know my wife and my schedules don't allow us to take off on alot of these 3 and 4 day weekend type of meets. I'd rather meet up once a month for the friendship thing and run'em about every month or so and use my vacation days sitting on a white sandy beach with an open bar just behind me. Just don't discount us because we all can't make these shows. I am the world's worst because I don't like to drive in the rain. Besides me being a clean freak, all that hp cannot be driven in the rain and when I take her out, I like to drive it.

Not to rant these meets have to be fun. I had a blast at the autofair, but them being so close to home makes them more enjoyable to me.

Kirby let me know if the torco guys does credit card, money order, check or what
