Won't be long until the Holiday season is upon us!

Years past, the "Grand Illumination" in Williamsburg has been a favorite attraction!

I understand there is an excellent Holiday program at the Richmond Botanical Gardens (real men love plants!?)

Give me your thoughts please

I will be e mailing the richmonders and the beachcombers for their participation

Jack

I kind of lean toward the grand illum also! It is awesome!

I am going to wait a week or two for input and other suggestions and see what turns up!

I think the problem with Grand illum in the past was eating afterward, not before! Maybe we could schedule a "late lunch" and then people could leave right after the event rather than hanging around trying to eat

Missed ya at Skyline

I MISSED Skyline. Hopefully I won't have the same problem for the Spring Skyline.

I think a late lunch is a great idea. Either way I am sure we will be up there for the illumination.

Saturday December 4th Manteo Christmas Parade

Beachcombers are going down Saturday morning. Parade starts at 1pm, after parade some of us will be spending the night down there. Jerry McPeeks will be checking into rooms, etc. and getting us some info soon. He will need to know what your interests are, so be
prepared to let him know, or call him at 436-9442

Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens Christmas program is quite good but so is the Grand Illumination. Well end up doing both anyway so whatever the majority wants to do works for us. Jack if you and Joann want to do the LGBG other than for the PACK event let us know and we can go up one night, have dinner and do the garden.

We'll be attending the GI! Got some friends coming in for that weekend from Chicago and we thought they'd enjoy the experience. I'm sure we'll run into y'all like we did last year!

Hey Guys!

Great to hear from you! Saw Miss Piggy a few weeks ago, and George, she still hadn't figured out what we were going to do with the bungee cord

But she has the bungee cord!

Can't wait to see y'all again!

This has been a trying year for a lot of us and it will be great to get together and kick it in the butt!

In fact, maybe we will just title this event "KICK IT IN THE BUTT!"

Seeya

Not trying to apply any pressure...yo You know me, I don't do that

But I have asked Billy to see if he good coordinate a very late lunch at the Italian restaurant we tried two years ago....Tim and Tina eat at my expense!

The food was great!

Then we could walk down to GI and when it was over, head home

more to follow, stay tuned

"Kick it in the Butt" sounds good to me! 2004 has been one of the worst years on record as far as Vicky & I are concerned. Can't wait to wish in 2005....it's got to get better!

Grand Illumination wins!

1st Sunday in December...Looks like December 5th!

We will gather and park free at the Monticello Shopping Center: there will be a late lunch/early dinner in the Italian restaurant around 3:30 then walk down to the center of the CW area for the fireworks

More info later

Let me update

The restaurant is "Sal's by Victor" it is in the "Williamsburg Shopping Center" which faces Richmond Road, route 60 and is bounded by Monticello road or Avenue or whatever, it's a street named Monticello!

Anyone wishing to take an early dinner/late lunch can gather there around 3 PM and we can eat in sufficient time to leave and walk down to Merchant's square around 5PM and be in time for the Illumination.

People who don't want to eat can park at this shopping center and walk down with us. I would suggest you get to the shopping center around 4:30

This is a weather sensitive event!

I'll try to email everyone I can

Thanks

Jack
