*San Diego is 13" (and rising) above normal and the "measuring year" is half way through.
* Last week, they were finally able to get through to the area where they measure the snow pack in the High Sierras, and announced that California's drought is officially over.
*Homes and neighborhoods in several area's throughout California are sliding, shifting, and caving in.
BTW......I'm a SD native, so please don't site the rains of 97 and miracle March in the early 90's and so forth and so on and say that was worse. Been there, seen that. Also, all you California newbies spare us the "Where I come from it's much worse than this" diatribe.
Yes, we do need this rain and we need this type of rainfall for the next five or six years. However, it definitely cuts into the Vette driving. I actually drove mine yesterday for the first time in close to five days. I say, let it rain, let it rain, let it rain.
Been driving the 'vette this last week. My DD, aka, the Toyota Pickup started acting up.
Didja know, Corvettes don't have rain gutters? And, if you have the window cracked open because, say, your heater is always on (at least the A/C works... it's HOT, but it works!), and you run the wipers, that it'll blow that freshly wiped windshield water right in on your sleeve?
Oh, yeah... this is a Corvette Forum! Of course you knew this!
Sure is nice being able to tool around in my 88 in this nice 50 degree, SUNNY weather in February!!!
Now your So. Cal people have a little taste of what we rust belt people face every year execpt this year. I'm sure we'll pay for it this summer but not much we can do but ENJOY the GREAT weather.
I hate rain in general. But this is terrible. I wish it would open up for two days, and then give us a week break or so. Just on a side note, I am sliding like crazy (not using full throttle either) on the express way in the rain. What tires are working out well for people? I have these POS Asian tires the original owner put on. Looking to switch and wondering what is working well in the rain.

My Goodyear GSD3s are phenominal in the rain. In fact, it seems like there s almost no difference between driving in wet OR dry weather with these tires. The added bonus is that they appear to be wearing well, ie - not wearing down quickly. These are easily the best tires I've ever used.

When I bought my vette, I promissed myself that it will never be driven in the rain. So there I am, garage door open sitting on my "Corvette" bar stool and watching the cars go by. Oh yeah, I catch a lot of crap from my neighbors too.
