Howie,
I looked at the clasifications link but it was over my head. Did I read somewhere that someone would figure out where my car fits? Also, not that it matters, but I didn't find anywhere what the cost is other than the mention of the $20 donation and $10 entrance fee. BTW, is that donation to your tire fund? Finally, the ROVAL, how is that track on brakes? I run ceramics these days and need to determie if I would run those or pick up something a little better. I would be fine a WSIR but not at SM for instance. Anyone know what the typical air temps are up there in August?
I might try to make this event. Oh, one more question (for now) you only run on the Saturday?

I don't notice any significant difference on brake usage between WSIR and ACS .... but I have stock C6Z06 pads not ceramics.
The $20 donation is to suppliment the money from sponsors to mostly pay for the trophies. We are not making any money .... we are a charitable organization
I think its cooler there than WSIR ......
Hope you make it

For those of you that read the first post last night or today please note the following update:
Drivers, we are asking for everyone to signup by 7/27 at 8:00AM. And we are asking all drivers to donate $20 for the event. As most of you know by know we have been putting on great events with, cool shirts, very expensive trophies and about $1500 worth of gift certificates so far. Unfortunately, if we do not get enough registrants we cannot continue to provide the high quality trophies and special awards for the season finale celebrations. Please feel free to post any questions regarding this message.
**** Please note that Aaron has waived the normal refund policy. So if you sign up and we don't get enough drivers you will get a full refund if you decide not to attend the ACS Speed Venture event anyways *******

Sorry guys, I jumped the gun saying I was going to be able to make this event but I forgot that my girlfriend has something planned for that weekend for my birthday.

I think she got ahold of the "Challenge" schedule and she has booked up Ryne's calendar with conflicts to keep him from the track.

A couple of race videos from Auto Club Speedway this past January. You will see two other 2009 Cal Club Corvette Challenge by Speed Ventures drivers in these races; Ryan Cashin aka RyanO and Steve Schmidt aka Bimota Guy. (Note: These are SCCA races and not the same as the time trial format of the "Challenge")
Here is one where I won:

And one where I did not:
