I need some information. My C5 wouldn't start. It just made a clicking noise but wouldn't start. The battery has been checked and is good. The cables were on tight making a good connection. The alternator also checked out and is good. The next thing I was going to check is the starter. However I went under the car to check it out but the headers are in the way. Before I go that direction is there anything else that might be the problem? If it is the starter, do I really have to drop the headers to get to it? Any help would be appreciated.
The symptoms are indicating a low charge in the battery. Are you sure the battery is fully charged. This needs to be checked first before anything else.
Rocky, I have a charger with a quick start feature . If that works & it starts, you could rule out the starter. Most of the time the probs. are the Batt. or a ground prob. Let me know if you want to try it. Dennis.

I agree with dennis and the others, try jumping or putting the quick start charger on it, if it starts you have yourself a battery issue, if it does not start and the battery cables are all tight with no corrosion then look to the starter or connections down there.
Thanks for all the good advice. After rechecking everything I found the that the battery bolt extender was bad on the positive post. I replaced it and all is fine. Yahoo!! I'm up and running again!!!!!!!
