I'm in! I'll drive down from Sacramento on Friday night (I just need to be done by 2pm on Sunday to hit the 6 hr drive north). I TRUST and hope this is well away from the 405 etc...freeways are gonna be nuts that weekend with the freeway construction shut down.

My house is right off the 101, 10 miles west of the 405. You can come in off the 5 by using the 118 to Topanga Canyon Blvd south. You won't get near the 405 construction. John

]Consider this as well. I have a four post lift and can do oil, transaxle, diff fluid changes at the same time. If you are interested, let me know. If you want to do it yourself, you are welcome to use the lift and my tools. Either way, need to work around Steve's installs, but should be able to arrange that. I do oil changes for $5 plus oil and filter. Walmart is just a couple miles away. If you want to change diff or trans, the Chevy dealer is about 15 miles away, if you want to buy their fluids. John

Steve is coming to SoCal July 16 and 17. Get in line for HUD install. Only a few more spots open. Some additional things you can get done while at my place:
Fluid changes (oil, diff, trans, brakes)
Change pads
Install thicker tunnel plate
I have a four post lift and all the necessary tools.

HUD equipment and install - July 16th and 17th.
BUMP!
Steve Doten is coming to Southern California...
This appears to be a great opportunity to get a HUD installed. I have talked with Steve a couple times over the past few weeks. I don't see how you can beat the offer he is giving for the equipment and installation ($695). A lot of members from the East Coast have chimed in and have given him great reviews.
If you are interested, now is the time to let him know. He will be here next Saturday and Sunday (July 16th. and 17th.), and one of the members has offered his house, car lift, tools, and BBQ in Woodland Hills for the install party...

Called Patrick at GMPartsHouse, we have 6 NEW GM HUD projectors, switches and bezels due in next Thursday to CA
I know stoessjc has his own HUD parts and I can bring one or two more kits with me on the flight
There is at least 2 more spots available for an appt
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
QUESTIONS?? I really appreciate any input from forum members, I have learned a MASSIVE amount of information since 2003
Here are some FAQ's
1. What are the parts used? NEW GM OEM HUD projector, HUD switch, bezel, I have a ONE-OFF harness made by an aerospace-spec supplier
2. What does the finished install look like? You can put it beside a 2011 Corvette with HUD and not find ANY differences, fit, form, function are all the same(the parts used are the same exact GM part numbers as OEM)
3. Do you remove the dash and pull the steering wheel/airbags? NO, I do not remove the steering wheel and/or airbags or touch the connectors, after 29 cars I have the process down to about 2.5 hours
[COLOR="RoyalBlue"][B]
4. Does the G METER work? Yes, all OEM functions are present
5. Does the A6 shift indicator work? Yes, along with the turn signals and XM Radio if optioned
6. LOCATION? I will typically travel anywhere on the east coast if 5 or more cars are committed, the cost is slightly higher
