I used to be a customer just like everyone else.... I know how it feels to get screwed...but now as a business owner I see the other side as well... But I am biased to believe anything against him because I have caught him on multiple occasions flatout making up lies about me... I never really knew the guy, I didn't take to kindly to it, a little too cut throat in my opinion ....

Let me start out by saying I'm not out to bash Excelsior. I am simply sharing my personal experience.

I had dealt with Kushan on a couple of occassions for work done on my '08.

First was a dyno tune that was over promised and under delivered.

Second was Pfadt coilover installation and four corner balance + alignment. The work was not performed on time and extra labor charges were added that were not discussed with me and charged for parts that were not installed.

Very shady character.

Hey Benny, no stories here this is not a bull$hit session by me simply stating the facts. I also have had work done by Kushan with poor results.

I decided to give him a try a while back, and had him build me a stroker LS3 motor for a blown application. I found out later that he used Mahle 4030 pistions, instead of what he should have, a good 2618 forged material. The motor melted down on the first hard canyon run. He took ZERO responsibility... It was a costly one time mistake with this guy.

I heard he's living in his shop, where he has not paid rent for some time now...

I understand fully what has happended and know of you situation first hand, was not trying to through down or overide yours or others experiences, or trying to make light of any situations out there. Just giving my experience. I surely understand you frustrations and anger, and would totally feel the same myself if it had been me.

For anyone that's interested I went by Kushans new shop in Escondido to day and had him install my MGW short shifter (So much for him living in his shop and in Bankruptcy as many of you have surmised), He is a few weeks away from getting everything in order. I for one will continue to support him as I have not had the problems of others that have posted here, You can't keep a good tuner down for long.

i cant comment on any of what you said, except the good tuner part.... the only "good" tuner i know that installs an aftermarket air intake on a c6 z and "tunes" it, yet doesnt touch the MAF calibration at all.... honestly the most important thing that needs to be touched up on a c6 z with an aftermarket air intake..... hell his only edit to the main spark timing table was adding 2 degrees to the whole entire table.....PE table looked like the Himalayas.... yes i guess he is a "great" tuner .... lol probably charge the guy $1000 dollars for that too..... what a joke.... these kind of people make me sick honestly... give us tuners a bad rap....

Accountability, integrity, and responsibility is something most everyone should hold true in ones path in life. Even Satan has a plan and Kushan at Excelsior Motorsports is part of it.

Excelsior Motorsports is only an extension of the owner............... Kushan. Kushan has no idea how to run a company, nor how to conduct a relationship with his clients. The sad part is how Kushan with Excelsior Motorsports used the system to burn the hand that feeds Kushan................HIS VENDERS HE SKIPPED ON.............even after Kushan with Excelsior Motorsports got paid buy his clients, spent the money on bikes, cars, and other personal mindless illusions he continues to pursue.

I no longer own a corvette because of Kushan the owner of Excelsior Motorsports. After a year of Excelsior Motorsports working on the tune, Excelsior Motorsports failed. Like pop corn, the ping never could get fixed. The overcharging of Excelsior Motorsports, the lies, and downright deadlines that were never met by Excelsior Motorsports. Set appointments that were brushed off like my time has no meaning.

I want to in fact thank Kushan with Excelsior Motorsports. That I never in my life will deal with some like Kushan at Excelsior Motorsports again. It is time and money I and others will never get back. It was a lesson learned. So thank you.

I’m now a proud owner of a 911 Turbo, with an over the counter APR tune, M&M muffler, BMC filters, GMG springs and sways. I will someday own another corvette as I have owned more Vets than the other cars I have owned. But for now until I get the ^&$% out of my mouth. I'm going to pass thanks.

CMS is excellent. Ryne just tuned my car last weekend. I'm very happy with it. I had a special request regarding fan settings when he did my tune, and he set everything up perfectly. Get it done right!

Let's see how long he can stay at the new location in Escondido. . . .

You might not be able to "keep a good tuner down for long" <read "shady"> , but you sure can throw him out in a hurry. . .

(yeah that oughta rile him up)

Almost everything that was done on my car was at Kushan's. Obviously I'm biased, but if anyone else wants to chime in about it feel free.

Brandon, I know we haven't had a chance to talk about your experience. But I will reserve judgment until then.

Otherwise, c'mon guys show a little character. I've heard similar complaints about other tuners. But they didn't go crazy about it on the board.

Steve,

Hope all is well. I think the question should be. Is the 911 Turbo more reliable? That answer would be YES. Much more than the Z06 I owned. I no longer own the Z06.

On a good day on 100 octain the Z06 would trap close to 136 mph. The 911 Turbo traps 127 ( RPM limiter 100 feet befor the end of 1/4 mile ) But on 91 or even 93 octain the 911 Turbo is quicker and faster. The tune in the Z was inconsistent to be reliable, pulling timing constantly and trapping less than a stock Z06 mph.

Back on topic.

Every one has a choice. Drive what you want, go to what ever tuner shop you want. Through reason and deduction I came to an understanding that doing bizz with Kushan with Excelsior Motorsports took all the fun out of a hobby I hold dear on many levels.

Now i drive a bullet proof reliable daily driver with no drama................a 911 TT. Great things come from failure. My failure was to conduct bizz with Kushan with Excelsior Motorsports. My triumph is getting out of the " tuner game " and realizing I never have to deal with a shop owner like Kushan with Excelsior Motorsports ever again.

On a side note those of you that know me or don't can comment to me in person. I have nothing to hide. It's well known what I went through with Kushan with Excelsior Motorsports. Never again.............

Yes, Kushan is in the process of moving to a larger location... I have nothing bad to say about Kushan as my car is an animal and he has always treated me with respect... Kushan is a great tuner as well as Ryan... Excelsior and CMS seem to be the best in SoCal for late model Corvettes...

I supported Kushan for a long time now and I will continue to do so since I am very pleased with his work... After seeing Ryans work and speaking to him, I have changed my views and now put Ryan and CMS up there with the best Corvettes shops in So Cal, if not all of CA... I will continue to use Kushan until I experience something less than what I am use to...

Good luck to whomever you choose...
