Otherwise, c'mon guys show a little character. I've heard similar complaints about other tuners. But they didn't go crazy about it on the board.
Like I said previously, I know there are guys that are happy with his work, but this in no way excuses the many screw ups and blatent disregard for other peoples property and money that he has shown on many occasions.
You speak of character, and then defend a guy who has taken peoples hard earned money (vendors and customers), not delivered as promised, then gone out and spent it on motorcyles, trucks, boats and cars. He then goes BK and throws the whole mess back at Joe public. He obviously STOLE rental space for his shop for at least the last few months as well. Please, let's not talk about Character and Kushan in the same thread...
As far as other tuners, I've dealt with my share of BS with some of them as well, but since they actually PAY to be supporting vendors on this board, one is limited as to what they can say.

Yes, Kushan is in the process of moving to a larger location... I have nothing bad to say about Kushan as my car is an animal and he has always treated me with respect... Kushan is a great tuner as well as Ryan... Excelsior and CMS seem to be the best in SoCal for late model Corvettes...
I supported Kushan for a long time now and I will continue to do so since I am very pleased with his work... After seeing Ryans work and speaking to him, I have changed my views and now put Ryan and CMS up there with the best Corvettes shops in So Cal, if not all of CA... I will continue to use Kushan until I experience something less than what I am use to...
Good luck to whomever you choose...
i know you and i have not always met eye to eye on stuff, so hearing your praise means even more to me.... thank you !!
I don't know all the details for the people who have had problems, but I must say that I have been very happy with the work Kushan and his crew did for me.
Granted I keep my engine stock (I've seen engines from every tuner fail...it's just part of racing but some people don't get that) and Kushan has only done corner balance and suspension set up for me but I always set my best times after he has worked on my car.
To anyone reading this thread, these dudes are liars. I've know Kushan for years all his work is top notch, not one problem very professional work. What's going on is you got two or three ricers who owns a corvettes and seems like they made a deal with this CMS dude because he's a vendor on a blog, to bash Kushan. Don't believe anything their saying

You are pathetic, and possibly even the loser himself...
Kushan actually told me that the tune I had on my supercharged LS6 346 motor should be close enough to just run the same tune on a stroked LS3.
Just go away dude!
I suppose someone photo shopped the eviction notice too.

Yikes.....this thread is getting nasty, and I don't want to get involved in the mudslinging. It sounds like we're lucky to have multiple good Vette tuners in SoCal to choose from.
I only wish to comment on my personal experience.
Kushan at Excelsior Motorsports has treated me very well. He did upgrades on my 2010 Vette GS including Penske coilovers, brake upgrade, and Stage 1 engine upgrade/tune. That work was done over a year ago, and I've had ZERO problems since. All the work was done in a timely and professional manner for prices we agreed upon.
I cannot comment at all about anyone else's business transactions with Kushan. I can only hope that you all get your problems or issues resolved via Kushan or another reputable tuner. As with any business entity, legal or financial disputes should be resolved via proper channels and/or the Better Business Bureau.
Lastly, I do know that Kushan was planning a relocation for many months before his move to Escondido. And I have friends who live near him in his condo complex, so rumors that he lives in his shop space are simply untrue.
I do NOT know the particulars of his move or his financial standing professionally or personally.
HOWEVER, it is a fact that we are living in unprecedented times of economic uncertainty. Given the economic climate, it is now very common for both residential and commercial tenants to relocate, downsize, refinance, default, file bankruptcy, etc. All of these are perfectly LEGAL options and they are business/financial decisions, NOT ethical decisions. Strategic Default (look it up) is a perfectly legal option for anyone, and we have no right to pass judgement. Sheriff's notices of eviction are standard procedure.
If you're as mad about all the nationwide defaults and foreclosures as I am, let's direct our anger at the corporate thieves in Washington DC and on Wall Street that created this whole mess (series of phony bubbles) over the last couple decades.
It's none of our business how Kushan manages his relocation process or spends his personal income. I just hope his new shop gets going soon, because I need my next oil change and minor service.

I agree with what you've said, especially where it relates to Kushan or anybody's personal business.......
I have no knowledge of Kushan's personal or professional finances.
But I will disagree with the small section above. I have seen several people who use legal means to avoid their responsibilities.
Just because something is common practice and/or a legal option, that does not make it right. There are too many examples to cite. How a person handles adversity will speak volumes about their integrity.
While a lot of these current financial problems were certainly assisted by various entities in Washington, DC and Wall St., that is not an excuse for lack of personal responsibility........
It's always easier to point a finger at "the other guy" and claim it was his fault, than to accept responsibility and the consequences for our bad decisions.

Take it easy Joel, no need to call people names... I have met you and you seem like a cool guy, these comments are just making you look small... The bottom line is that you do not know all of the details so it's best just to keep quite and let Kushan set the record straight if he feels that he needs to go that route... We all know how you feel, so just end it dude...

Just my two cents.....
Interesting post. You say you disagree with that one paragraph that I wrote.....but your entire post goes on to dispute things that I never originally stated or implied?!
I never said anything about avoiding responsibilities. My paragraph simply highlights the numerous legal and financial options that are involved and constantly exercised in today's uncertain economic climate. These tactics are employed by both landlords and tenants. And no one on this forum knows the financial particulars of Excelsior Motorsports except Kushan.
