We are staying in Ojai, what's the best route for a day run?

Up Hwy 33 is good fun. You can turn around at wolfs, or head on over to the other side to Hwy 166. Turn right at Cerro Noroeste Rd, through pine mountain (gas and food if you like in the small town on the right), Left on Mil Potrero Hwy, and then turn right on Lockwood Valley Rd, back to the Hwy 33 and back over. Also eat at Boccalis Italian Restaurant on the east end of Ojai. Cash only.

Highway 150 up to Santa Barbara is okay, but not as nearly as fun as Highways 33.

Just be careful on descent down the other side of mountain on highway 33.

Great recommendation! We took this route home (back to 166/101) from Ojai.
33 was an AWESOME ride.
We will definitely be back.
