I am getting the dreaded fuel gauge issue happening on my C7 .. It is a huge job to replace the sending unit in the gas tank. ( transmission needs to be dropped) and am hesitant to drop it off at the local Chevy Dealer. I do, luckily have an extended warranty on it.
Any recommendations on a legit shop that won’t screw up my car in Orange County?
Try calling Bedard Automotive in Anaheim first. Be prepared to leave tit there a couple days even with an appt. Great Mechanic. If you can drive outside the OC, checkout J&D Corvette in Bellflower. They work on most years of Vettes from early gens to at least C6s. Quality mechanics. Give a call with your issue and find out if they work on C7s. You'll need to make an appt and most likely have to leave overnight. They also sell parts. I've personally used both places and recommend each.

As a matter of convenience, I dropped it off at Simpson in Irvine as it is a mile from my house. My extended warranty approved the repair today. Good thing for the warranty, that bill will be over $6k. The service advisor said the shop foreman will be the one working on it. I will keep you posted.
Well I got my car back today and I must say I am impressed. It did take about 2 weeks but everything is great. No new squeaks or rattles which is common in a huge job like removing the almost entire rear of the car. Also it almost seems like they kept it inside as a it was dusty but no signs of rain even though it poured out the week I dropped it off. Also most importantly no lot damage. 2 weeks is a long time to keep a high volume dealer. Also took care of a couple recalls and got a wheel alignment out of the deal. Ask for John Bowser if you go.., stand up guy..

Thanks for the follow up. Good to know. I've been using Selman in Orange for my C6. Mike Argandona is their Vette service writer.
