Mini-Mod Day
A couple guys are coming over this Saturday the 3rd to do some minor mods ( lowering & exhaust install ). If anyone wants to join us, email or IM me for the address. I'm in Chula Vista which is south of San Diego. We'll start about 10am.

Many thanks go out to Jim for help in lowering my car. Not only did we complete that in less than 45 minutes, but we also swapped out Tony's exhaust and lowered his car as well. (Now if only your Dad could taper his driveway entrance a bit more....)
The Samual Adams keg was more than enough for the few hours spent modding and the Hooters girls provided great company. Of course, I averaged 120 on the way home and thoroughly enjoyed the lower center of gravity.

BTW, I was a bit worried about scraping the chin spoiler on my driveway, but it isn't nearly as bad as I had imagined. For good measure, however, I will be making some frame savers in the near future.

My car only scrapes in my driveway, otherwise I'm fine. Of course I'm at stock height....
I'm being a wussy about lowering it.... seeing that you guys were able to lower it pretty quickly, I think mine will be next. I'll give it a try and see how it works out.
How much were you able to lower it? (Stock bolts?)

Now that I've stopped laughing after reading the last few posts, I can answer your question. Yes, we lowered on the stock bolts and the difference in appearance is very noticable. There is no extra ride harshness and the combination of new Goodyear GSD3 tires and lowering is absolutely awesome! I now feel as if I'm driving a low-slung, racing Lexus - smooth, but with no sway. For anyone with the Z51 suspension, I'd say that this setup is ideal.

Unfortunately, because neither you nor Bob nor Mike .....etc, etc showed up, the girl who drove was pretty dang lonely, let me tell yah.........
