Even if you don't sign up you could ask to be a passanger for a session and see what your car can REALLY do

Sweet. DO they take walk ins or do you need to sign up in advance?

always make sure you arent the fastest car in your "pack". Usually the closer you get to stateline, the faster the people go. Not uncommon to see a suburban pulling a trailer doing 90+ after Baker. I always find a big vehicle that's moving at a nice pace and let them lead. I travel to Vegas 3-4 times a year for the past 8 years, never once have I been pulled over because there is always someone else faster.

I'm thinking of doing that next spring, after I declare the rats to be winners and leave the race for the ranks of the retirees.

Turn on your radar detector and keep a low profile. As was suggested, don't be the leader of the pack....let someone else be point and check your rearview. Seriously....don't fly too fast...drive safe and have a great time in LV.
