I talked to Forum member "Racie" awhile ago at the Sergeants Friday night meet in Arlington and he said he had access to welding equipment for Ti.

It is possible but very hard to weld steel to titanium. For the hp gains over the stock titanium it is hard to justify the part and labor cost. Just my 2 cents.
