Austin, Texas Area meets
It was time to retire the old thread and start a new one.
The latest meet is at I35 and 620 on the Southbound I35 access road, behind the McDonalds. A real good meet so far, very few loud ricers, very few loud truckers, shade to stand (or sit) in and food and drinks available close by. Lots of Corvettes and Camaros. Mike said he would try to be there this coming Sat 5-19 with his new Ron Fellows Z06.

Good meet again. Had some new rides show up. Did everybody see the home built Triumph bodied drag car? Lots of C3's this week. 2 C6 Z06's, Mike's new Ron fellows and SW with his soon to be new track car. Great weather! Wish it could stay like this all year.

The Kia rental will work, I drove my Hyundai Accent to a couple of meets.
Lets let the old thread die, it's wAY TOO LONG AND misleading to any new people.

Looks like a rainout for tonight, 5-26. But; We all know Austin weather. If there is no rain at 5:30PM and none on the radar for 5:30 to 9:00 I'll show up.

It was spitting rain near my house @ 4:30 and radar showed t'stms S. of Austin moving N. so I made other plans. Did anybody from the Forum go? How was the turnout?

Should have come on by, Hal. We had sunshine until I left at about 7:45. The turnout wasn't very good though. However, we did have a 1921 Franklin show up. Pretty cool ride!

Hal I got the other thread closed with a link to this one. I am at the lake recovering from the 2800 mile LCC trip to Maggie Valley. I love the RF on the road....a lot quieter and cooler. Ask me about the Tail of the Dragon next time I see you.

All that extra insulation helps for heat as well as noise? The real reason it's quieter and cooler is that it's White!

Good turn out and good weather. Even some mechanic work in the lot, Robert fixed his C4 spare tire carrier.
Met some new people and ran into some old friends from the 2003 Vans Autoparts meet on 183/Ohlen Rd.
Lots of 'Vettes; C1's, C4's, C5's and C6's. I was parked next to an '88 Fiero Formula, all original with only 20,000 miles.
