I want to thank the guys from space city corvettes that stopped by our house and left a card as we were not home. The house had about a foot of water and everything had to come out. We are staying with some friends close to home so that helps. The 65 got some water in it but I think it will be OK. I had the Z06 with me so its still fine and waiting for a cam from Jason. On top of that , I had a heart attack on wed. the 17th and had to have a stent put in, When it rains it pours, but I am back driving the Z. You cannot keep a corvette man down.

Kenny Kenny Kenny! I'm glad you are ok, we have been wondering. It definitely has poured for you and you are in my prayers, please call if you need anything. If you need help pulling any stuff out of your house I can spare some time tomorrow evening possibly and some time in the late afternoons next week or fairly early mornings in bits and pieces here and there. Just call me, you have my cell.

Day 15 and the power finally returned. We just aren't around to enjoy it. We are in New Orleans for the Saints game, and I called our home line and the answering machine picked up. Woo freakin' Hoo!

Damn Jim, glad your car survived ok...That had to be a scary feeling when you drove up... Glad to hear you got it all fixed.
I drove down kirby on sat afternoon trying to get to my parents in baytown, but red bluff was flooded, so I had to turn around. I also saw the mess at the bridge there in El lago...what a disaster. I also put the boat in on Wed, and took a drive around, took some pics

Here are some pics I took at my house and on NASA 1. The pics of the car and garage are where a large tree landed on my roof right over where the car was sitting. The hood of my car is right under a hole in the roof - that is water, wood chips and pieces of roofing "felt" that came through the hole and landed on the car. The tree on the roof picture is the garage right above the Corvette.
The pics of NASA 1 and the Marina are just west of Kirby road where there is a channel into Taylor Lake. That is almost exactly one mile from my house. By the way, I took those pics Sunday early afternoon. The water level was still up about 5 feet over normal when I took them - that gives you an idea of how high the water actually got to wash those boats up to the guard rail of NASA1.
If you look at one of the pics of the marina you'll see about 6 or 7 feet of a "cigarette" boat sticking up out of the water. I had a boat a few years ago about five boats down from that boat (I got out of boating eight years ago).
