Default OKC Corvette Meet & wrench day at The Shade Tree Garage

checking to see if you guys might be interested in having a Corvette-Oriented meet where you guys can all come out and meet, maybe thrown something on the BBQ... and put some cars on lifts and get some work done with the help of your local Corvette community using our facilities...

You are not at all REQUIRED to spend a dime for this.. I offer our facilities free of charge for the meet but it would be nice if some of you decided to do oil changes, exhaust installs... O2 sensor replacements... brake jobs.. etc this day and we can all get together and enjoy Corvettes and getting work done at an INCREDIBLY lower price than any dealership or mechanic would charge you...

any idea if you guys would actually show up if we throw you a party? recommendations on dates, things to be included like maybe a discussion on some consistent Corvette issue or a class/walk-thru on how to do some type of service, install, modification?

Been meaning to check out your operation. This might be a good idea. Pick a few dates and post them here and on the most current NCCO thread and lets see where it goes. I have a few front end parts I would much rather do from a lift than jack, etc.

p.s. I don't have any prob with a fee for your equipment use. I just have a time prob.

I've gotta get a few things done, x-pipe, throw some new wheels on, fat daddy's, vararam install etc... so I'd definitely be interested.

How about the next 2 weekends? June 22nd or 29th? both are Saturdays and give you plenty of time to prepare, order parts, have me get parts for you, etc.. post up here what parts or supplies you need and which day you guys prefer.

I'm definitely interested.

I don't think I need any work done that I can afford at the moment, but it'd be cool to hang out.

With the air show at Tinker and the cruise in to Coits... 19th might be a busy day. 26th would be better.

So 26th of June is the official Corvette Forum Day then. All day Saturday June 26th starting probably around 2 pm you guys can show up and we can BBQ if someone brings a grill.. and hang out and do Corvette stuff. if you need any work done, lemme know and we can have the parts on hand (Or at least at the parts store ready for delivery) and you guys can check out the underbelly of your rides and get a general health check on your baby's

We would like to attend. We have a C6 Vette we want to lower by adjusting the jack bolts and a 2010 Camaro we want to install the skip shift bypass harness. Would this offer apply?

ABSOLUTELY! bring them out and lets knock em out

Also, I am still trying to find out what the deal is with the lift-points on the Corvettes, and the possible adapters that may be needed to lift the cars.. anyone have any info on this?

I made a special 50-mile trip to your shop today to bring you a couple sets of jacking pucks to use for the Corvette Day you have scheduled this coming weekend. We could have tested to see what it would take to get our really low cars on your lifts. Maybe some 2"x12" wood pads for the tires to drive up on so the lift arms could be swung under the frame rails?

But you weren't there.

I saw the sign on the front door, but didn't have a phone. I tried to stay around for a while, but the yard guys were mowing and seemed to be making a special effort to blow crap all over my car. I moved the car four times before I gave up and drove home.

Hopefully I'll be able to come hang out and/or lend a hand. Won't be in the Vette, sadly. I might end up stuck at the house though, what with the ridiculously long list of crap I need to take care of and the chance I'll have roofers working.
