Default thumbs down to Houstons corvette expo 2011

How can you have a corvette show in a city the size of Houston and not have one ZR1 Corvette? There was a ton of nice camaros, and lots of old corvettes. But this event is not worth $15 admission and $10 parking fee in my opinion.

need to learn where to park, we paid 7 bucks. I didn't get to walk around too much and when I did it was usually to the beer booth or the DSVettes booth. I for some reason ended buying stuff and talking with the guys who are highly knowledgeable. I'd say the admission fee is worth seeing the products they have out and some of the products coming soon after talking with them. I'll be there again tomorrow for the Bikini show and representing my yellow and black zhz with Space City corvettes so yall drop by.

It sounds like I made the right decision, by not going.

You can go to nearly any dealer and see a ZR1. A lot of the cars at the show, you will never see on the street.
I myself am impressed with the quality of cars at the show. Well worth the admission fee.
Also, if you move to the next parking lot over, it's five bucks to park. I had to walk an extra 100 yards.

We went yesterday and I can say I was pleasantly surprised. More vendors this year than previous years and lots of incredible cars. up from us.

For those people with classic cars looking for parts this show was just the ticket!
As always everyone was VERY friendly and more than willing to stop and chat.

yes, this is true. On that subject hats off to Munday Chevrolet. Not only did they let me sit in it, they started it up! My hair is still standing up from that experience. However, lets face it. The ZR1 is Chevrolets flagship machine. Its kind of like singing the national anthem at the beginning of the superbowl. But not displaying the flag.

I went last year. Thought it was OK. No parking for me because I live in the highrise across from the GRB.

Is this just a big car show or are there aftermarket vendors to see? I don't want to see a car show for that money. I want to see some products.

We went yesterday as well. I told my husband I should've entered my ZR1. We couldn't believe there was not one there. I sort of thought that my car group would've said, hey why don't you try to bring the car down - but noone said anything. I had never been so didn't really know what to expect. I had heard allot of complaint from my group in the last few years.

I didn't see DSVettes booth - good thing - I want a new steering wheel for the ZR1. Lots of car clubs there selling themselves. Gave me some options to look at other clubs and what kind of fun things they do.

Sorry, didn't take the camera - didn't really see much that floated my boat to take a pic of.

If you went to see only one type of Vette, you're bound to be disappointed.

You can't be serious! That was the cream of the crop. It doesn't get any better than what was there this weekend. This is coming from a track guy (recovering waxer)!

The girlfriend and I were driving around and saw the sign for this on 610. We ended up going to check it out and I wasnt very pleased with the results. There werent many performance cars there. None of the vendors were selling the one piece i needed and only one performance company was there that I saw, ARD? I saw about 4-5 blown c5/c6's there and the rest were stock looking. I was more impressed at the parking lots than I was at the show itself.. and MY GOD there was a vast array of corvette jackets. I have never seen so many corvette jackets in my life! Even the corvette jacket booths were CROWDED!!!
