Still lurking...
Engine's back together. When my buddy has a spare hour he'll be helping me put the trans into place. Then the engine goes in, then we see if things are where they need to be.

The engine only had to come out because the new trans is longer than the old, and there's no way to get it in place with the engine in. But I took off a bunch of little random trim pieces and degreased the whole thing a bit. Also having the engine on the floor made doing the bellhousing measurements/clutch replacement MUCH easier. I didn't tear into it at all.
Hopefully it all works out. I feel a lot better about this round of measurements, but if its out of spec...ugh.

I'm thinking the same thing, JW... and maybe replace the K&N CAI with a Vararam? I still have your PM about the Super Pros, when you get the time, shoot me a price on the Vararam... I think I need to get with you about some LED's, too.

I have been doing some reading about how to launch a C6, and a lot of guys talk about slipping the clutch while launching at about 3k or so. I can't say that I ever tried it, let alone power shifting my 2-3 and 3-4 shift. I guess I'm going to have to practice that.

Goddamnit, why do these contractors not want my money? Stood up by the first (didn't show up to the house), now this guy keeps telling me he'll call me back when he gets to his calendar to set something up. Four days, and he's given me the stiff arm twice.

With a total weight of car and driver of 3450 and 111 mph, you're putting a real world 368rwhp to the track. A perfect run, i.e. perfect launch, and perfect shifts, 111 mph should net you a 12.28. Dyno sheets are for sissies, time slips are for MEN!!!!!! The right tires and some practice and you will be right there. Good mph

I didn't bother to weigh the car... but my guess is that the weight is a bit higher than that with the widebody conversion, RK Sport hood, bigger tires (Z06 sizes) and my fat azz.
But you are absolutely right. I needed a set of drag radials to be able to hook up, and the track was a bit slick so my 60' times were abysmal. Besides, it was my first time out so I'm sure there is a learning curve as well. Nothing a few $$$ can't cure.

I went to a large Cruz in called cupcake meet that travels to different states, the majority made up of young people and mainly foreign cars.
I found out that my car needs a doctor. As I drove through the crowd everyone was yelling out sick, just sick, man your car is sick. I guess I need to schedule a checkup.
Remember this week end, Tri-city Open car show, pass it on.
