Default Engine/Trans Shop Recommendations Please

Hi All, looking for a little help/guidance for a repair shop in the Houston area.

The work I need completed is for my 1990 Indy Beretta, 3.1L, M21 5-Speed trans, approx 90K on the clock. Easy miles, never was abused. I know for sure the transmission needs to be pulled and rebuilt. Also replace the clutch, throw-out bearing while working in that area.

Condition of the engine remains to be figured out.

The vehicle hasn't been started in 15 years, give or take, but the good news is it was driven in to the storage facility and periodically checked to see it was still alive.

If you know of a shop that you trust and has a good reputation I'd be obliged to get that information from you. Likewise if you know of a good mechanic who sidelines in such repairs I would be okay with that as well.

Please PM me if you can be of any assistance. Much appreciation from this end.

I hadn't noticed the car type.

Most people who are looking for shops on this forum need them for high performance cars, not Berettas.

Thanks for the responses.

No, the Beretta is certainly not high performance. But when restored, it'll make a nice ride for her.

Anyway, back on topic, I need an engine/transmission shop to take care of the motor & trans for me. That is where I'm starting.
