I've started deleting all e-mails from Ecklers, Corvette Central, etc offering discounts. They just don't work out, just means the charge should have been lower to begin with. I do take advantage of free shipping whenever possible, but they probably charge enough to cover that too.
Here's their catch all:

I don't deal with BS. I either order from Long Island Corvette or Paragon. Problem solved. The people on the other line at these two companies are smart and can provide additional information if needed.

Interesting ..that you would post this response.. I did speak with a supervisor. .. Oh and btw Warren. ..this isnt bashing them as you put it.. Simply stating the facts.. And that is what this forum is all about..!

Service is everything. I went to buy my new DeWitts radiator for my '61 from Corvette Central, but was given the run-around and placed on hold. Ended up calling ZIP and having it shipped right out. It's about being treated like a person. Especially when it involves parts for non-essential, very expensive toys.

My only question is why would you still buy from them? There are other vendors that abide by their ads and give better service than they got. In fact, I am willing to pay higher prices (within limits) knowing I'll get better service.

Well you didn't say you spoke to a supervisor in your original post, which makes all the difference so I agree with your posting the info about the poor service you received.

Whatever. The reason it was moved is because this forum is titled "Transactions Feedback".

Disputes in transactions, reports of transactions and even positive feedback on transactions... all transactions... not just Supporting Vendors, Non Supporting vendors or private individuals here, go in the Transactions Feedback forum where everyone can find them in one place.

No, you can buy direct from Dewitts. In fact we corrected a problem with their internet catalog. Same number for 2 different configuration of radiator which could have resulted in me getting wrong configuration had I ordered via internet before we corrected problem over phone. I was test order to make sure part number correction Tom made ordered the correct radiator configuration I needed.

Better yet, since most of the world's trade, these days, is done on a computer, then the computer's program should be set up to reflect what ever discounts are applicable, and THIS can take the employee and/or their supervisor completely out of the equation...........
