Default RPI Designs

Anyone have any experience with RPI Designs? I waited 5 weeks for a custom painted part that came today and it was damaged. Box and packing is in perfect condition, so I have to believe it was like that when they sent it. @RPIDON can you help?

I have bought a number of items from them (painted engine covers, side skirts) and all have arrived undamaged.

Have never had to deal with them on a return.

I've reached out via email before receiving the order with no response. I sent Don a message through here, so maybe he can respond. Tried calling and they were already closed apparently, so I'll try again Monday.

Are you saying that Southern car parts and RPI are one and the same?

I have bought several painted parts from RPI that had good quality. It usually takes 5-6 weeks to receive the parts.

Yes I had an issue and that was how I finally got in touch with them.. I would honestly say they are hit or miss.. some had great experiences and others did not. I am not sure why

Hi,

If you would, please send me over a pm telling about your experience. This is something we need to improve on and deal with any of the in house issues that we can.

Thanks,
Chris

I can't speak to RPI but Southern Car Parts, if the same company, do not communicate with email or phone messages. Sent two emails about a year ago and.... still waiting for an answer.
I finally went elsewhere to make the purchase. For me, I wouldn't deal with SCP.

Here's a link to my review from a couple weeks back for anyone who’d like to see it. Their in-house parts and paint are awesome. The shipping date was pretty close. They very clearly stated 6weeks order to ship on all in-house parts/paint when they sent me a second, follow up email shortly after confirming my order. Their communication was lacking, as everyone here has mentioned, but seeing Chris respond here is a great first step. After a couple unanswered emails, I PMed Chris here and he did get me some answers. I just hope communications move in the right direction because their in-house stuff is awesome.

I have some painted parts I ordered from them on 2/20... i tried to pm Chris on here but he never responded... I emailed every email I could find with RPI on it. Finally got Paul and Lana both to respond to me. Paul says they're staff is cut down to only a couple of people due to the Covid-19 stuff so they're running a little slow. He said my order would take approximately 2 more weeks, I asked for a refund and he offered me a 10% discount to keep my order. I decided to keep my order and give them 2 more weeks and declined the 10% discount as I understand everyone is greatly impacted by this.

I did receive my fender badges from them that I ordered in December last year... took about 6 weeks and me contacting Chris on here to get an answer on them though. Happy with the product, but updates or some sort of response would be nice

Problems with customer service and communications didn't start with the current situation and the virus. Therefore it cannot be attributed to it. Southern Car Parts AKA RPI has always been poor at responding to questions and/or issues with an order. I have resolved to not deal with them because of this.
