Am I the only who's experienced some horrible customer service from West Coast Corvettes?
I purchased a front splitter from the forum store here (which is West Coast Corvettes). Ad stated a 'modeled from the factory GM ZR1 front splitter' which all of us Z06 ZR1 Corvette guys would assume means this to would be a physical match of a factory ZR1 splitter.
I receive my splitter, and come to realize it's multiple inches different from the factory splitter. It's the type of splitter that typically gets added to a base model. The air ducts, are a few inches further outward and the shape is totally different. Fits the look of the base model, does not even fit a Z06/ZR1 correctly even though it is sold stated to fit one.
For whatever reason I happened to look at the WCC website, look up the part number and low and behold, the ad description for the part number is different. Most obviously 'modeled from the factory GM ZR1 splitter' is not stated. Which would be correct. This part isn't, at all.
Ok, so there's an error from WCC transferring over their product ads to the Forum Store. Easy enough for them own to up right?
I emailed twice, 3 times now. No reply. I called finally, got given the run around on how even a 'modeled from OEM GM ZR1 splitter' still wont look like the factory splitter.. and that if I didn't like the one I received I wouldn't like one that was 'modeled from the GM ZR1 splitter' either. Refused to hear me out on their ad error or even look into it, zero concern for their own mistake. They did offer a refund for the splitter, but at my cost (oversize shipping) to send it back! If you purchase something based on a false description how should the customer be at all responsible for the sellers error!? It's beyond me. Anyway, be warned to all WCC buyers. THEY ARE SHADY!!!!!
I had a big problem with them when getting my chrome wheels. Lots of hidden costs. Core charges held too long , Shipping of my wheels back to them. 2 w heels that I was driving around on for 2 years were suddenly ...out of round...which I had to pay for. Not a pleasent experience. Never went back to them.
^^^ long, long ago, this company had "issues" with wheels and it went on for over a year. I'm surprised they are not in the archives here for their long-ago wheel dealings.
My first experience has also not been good so far. I ordered from them because the great feedback here. I placed my order on 6/29 for a set of floor mats (something I could have easily purchased on Amazon for the same item and price) and it mentions they usually ship out within a few days. It's over two weeks now and my order status hasn't updated (under my account). If I use the order status checker, the order doesn't show up. I've emailed and called customer service but that hasn't helped much. Today, I actually got a person to pick up the phone but they sent me on to someone else who went straight to voicemail. Not a great first experience on an item as simple as floor mats.
The final update on this! Fortunately these days your credit card company and/or Paypal will credit your account and pressure companies like this to make good.. I filed a dispute with American Express that I paid for the item with, for 'items not as described', provided screen shots where the same part number had 2 different descriptions and within a few days I now have an RMA from WCC to send the part back. Pretty sad on their part, I started off not assuming any malicious intent and just wanting them to exchange for the correct part as described at their cost, since it was their error, but in whatever arrogance of not wanting to admit error and/or perhaps ignorance of their products, they'd rather just lose the customer and sale and take a return. Oh well.

We will close the thread as it appears this is the final disposition.
If the OP has some last second development to report or the vendor wants to take his opportunity to chime in, please PM me and Ill add it to the thread.
Just an update on this. We are sending out a return tag to get this back at our expense to take car of this for the customer. He was explained that it had to be slightly different than the GM to avoid copyright infringement and he did not want to hear that. Once we get it back he is getting a full refund.
