I should have looked here before ordering, but figured a sponsor company would be good to deal with. This was NOT the case with PFYC, from which I ordered a "C7 Corvette Carbon Flash Metallic Painted License Plate [Frame]" (Item Code: C7-1157) on 11 May. Just as it is today, there was no indication of delayed availability when I placed my order for this "In Stock" part.
Having heard nothing for over two weeks, I followed-up on/about 28 May. "Keith" responded promptly with "This is a painted item. It is going to take about 8 weeks. We are backed up in our paint department. I apologize for the delay."
Hearing nothing for nearly another seven weeks (almost nine weeks total), I followed-up again on 11 Jul. My request for an update went unanswered.
Another request for update on 13 Jul also went unanswered, so I filed a complaint with PayPal.
The best part of this transaction came today when the payment I made over nine weeks ago was refunded.
If you're thinking about dealing with PFYC, don't. Find a more reputable and responsive vendor.
Yep... Ordered the same exact in stock plate frame months ago (after confirming via PM it was in stock). After 3 weeks of no shipment and no replies from them, I did a charge back via PayPal.
Not you too OP. The saddest part is they actually do good work (assuming you have a half a year leadtime) but PFYC/RPI are useless when it comes to customer service and delivering your part. Months of waiting is the norm. Glad you got your money back. I learned my lesson. I'll only buy a ready made item from their RPI tent at Carlisle. Otherwise order now for a Christmas delivery (maybe). I miss Don, he got **** done at RPI and we customers loved him.
The number of CF approved vendors that have no complaints regarding customer service continues to shrink. I don't understand why these vendors can't send a 10 second email to keep one informed.
OP was refunded, and all there are now are third party comments. If something relevant to the OP comes up from the OP or vendor, please contact me by PM and Ill add it.
