Thanks M for reposting it. Because of my Nam PTSD/Brain Trauma, wiring diagrams even in color are difficult to understand. I forced myself to look at the one you reposted.....
And it probably has to do with some kind of tax rule in Connecticut. Like a sales tax collected on in state sales. maybe. Combine that with post #8. It does make sense.

Honestly I know lots of times if they have a distribution network the company itself doesn't sell. Like Meguiers, they show up at shows and flea markets to show their product but won't sell to the public. Why be a dealer if you're competing with the company itself...
But Doc is still a strange duck

I am amazed that so many Smart People don’t employ internet searches, or even bother to look at a company web sites. Years ago my pretty smart son introduced me to the idea of reading actual Customer Reviews before purchasing a product. I know it takes time, but the information gained is invaluable. As far as the Doctor, he is obviously an extremely opinionated gentleman, and has no problem letting everyone know his true feelings. While I won’t go into specifics, I have chosen to take my business to other Corvette Vendors. I particularly don’t like the comments he (or his web folks make about other suppliers) I am guessing one of the owners must have killed Docs Dog.
When I was in the process of restoring my corvette, around 20 years ago, I bought lots of parts from Doc Rebuild without any issues, yes I live in Connecticut.
Lots of threads on here if you do a search on doc rebuild, most of them are not too complementary.
