Auto Custom Carpets
Their stuff is OK--nowhere near GM quality for whatever reason, but always good enough.
The set I bought 5 years ago is their usual stuff. I had a bit of an issue with the passenger side, so I thought I would just buy a front set and replace both.
The carpet came in. Not only was it the wrong color--I understand dye lots change--but it was paper thin garbage. I can literally hold it up and see completely through it.
I have some trimmed off pieces from the set that is in the car from 5 years ago and it has AT LEAST a 1/4" more nap and a much better backing, so the new one is thinner, the wrong color, and simply total garbage.
I spoke to them today and they said they were sorry, but they have two suppliers. Now, in the old days before the owner passed away, I thought they MADE the stuff themselves, but I may have been wrong. I do remember having long conversations with them in the 90's about colors, quality, etc., but never thought that they didn't make it themselves.
SO, IF you are buying ACC carpet--and I think that is the only game in town--be sure to check it out of the box to make sure it is at least decent like their normal stuff is. If you can see through it, call them and send it back, I guess.
Cheers!
