I ordered a door spring for my ‘68 from Ecklers about a week ago. To my amazement I received two packages from Ecklers. One was full of leather bags with a note from a guy named Frank discussing how he had received these bags instead of his order. The date on the letter was August last year. I was very confused. I opened the second box and it had my door spring in it.
I decided to call the phone number that Frank had left on the letter. After speaking with Frank, we kind of pieced it together at what I think happened is they had asked him to send back the leather bags. When he sent them back, they never opened the box and just put it back on the shelf labeled as door springs. When I ordered a door spring, I think somebody just grabbed the box and sent it to me. Again it’s kind of odd because I only ordered one door spring, but the box was large enough that it would’ve held probably 100 door springs if that’s what it was.
Just kind of an interesting story that I thought I would share.
ecklers is the absolute last place I go to when all else fails. I had terrible experiences dealing with them over the years, and basically gave up on them. your experience isn't even close to some of the horror stories that you might get from forum members if they ever admitted it.
